@MoonlitMagnolia:  Depends on her age. I’m having a Junior Bridesmaid, and she’ll be standing with the other girls. But I plan for our ceremony to be fairly short.

If you’re worried she’ll be figity, I’d let her sit with the flower girls. No harm in it. Wherever she is comfortable, and likely to remain for the duration of the ceremony.

I’d say it depends on her temperment. My brother was just shy of 10 when he was our ring bearer, and he stood with the GMs. He didn’t fidget or anything.

But if your JrBM is 6 or 7 and hyper, grandma might be the better option!

I have two eight year old bridesmaids (not junior bridesmaids). They will be standing with the other bridesmaids. The flower girls will be standing in front of the bridesmaids. If they want to go sit with their parents during the ceremony, they are more than welcome to.

@MoonlitMagnolia:  How old are they? I think anything over 9 or 10 should be totally fine to stand up there with everyone. My sister was 13 at my wedding, and while she wasn’t a “Jr. BM” (she would have killed me if I called her anything other than a BM) she was totally fine.

I would personally have mine sit if I was to have them.

We will be having one.  She’ll be 13.  She can do whichever she prefers, we’ll ask her at the rehersal.  She’s a great kid, I’m not worry she’ll fidget or anything.  I just want to make sure she’s comfortable with her role.

When I was a Jr. Bridesmaid at age 9 I stood with the rest of the bridesmaids.   I am pretty sure I was good, because in my family, if I had done ANYTHING embarasing, I would still be hearing stories about it, espeically with my own wedding coming up.

I was a Junior Bridesmaid when I was 9 and I stood as well. It felt really long to me, but that’s because it was a Catholic ceremony and took AGES. If it’s less than 30 minutes long, I don’t see why she couldn’t stand – more than that, and kids start getting restless, even into their early teens. Hell, some adults are restless at that point.
