The FI and I  want to register for traditional fine china, glassware and silver. I live in the SF Bay Area. Where do you register for nice china and the like? I was thinking Bloomingdales? I don't recall a large housewares section at Neiman's or Saks.... where did you guys register for stuff like this??

    thanks!!

I just registered at bloomingdales in SF this weekend!  GREAT bridal registry staff.  Really nice and helpful, but they let you go at your own pace and give you as much/little info as you need.  Thats where we'll do our fine china/bedlinens.

We registered at Bed Bath and Beyond, Crate and Barrell, Macy's and a little at Bloomies.  We didn't realize that BBB had almost everything that all the other stores did, including really nice fine china (we registered for Lenox Lace Couture), crystal and a LOT of other stuff.  Their exchange/return policy is by far the best we've heard of.  No time limit, can return for cash.  Also as long as they sell the product or have the SKU number in their system, you can return a product to them that wasn't even bought there.  They were extremely helpful, offering sodas and snacks while we were there for about 5 hours (and on our 2 trips after that).

Just my $.02.  Hope it helps.

In the SF area try Gump's for china and flatware.
