Typically for a wedding reception, the grandparents are seated with the parents at table 1. However, none of our grandparents speak the same language (Mandarin, Cantonese, and English) so I thinking about placing them with other family that they can communicate with instead of being at a table where no one understands them. Would you put the grandparents at tables with family instead of putting them at table 1?

family members who speak same language– if i had grandparents i would put them with my mom and dad or an aunt/uncle( their child/children)

If it were me, I’d seat the grandparents with people that they’d have the most fun with.
If you’re inviting a lot of their contemporaries (older guests like great aunts/uncles, etc.) that speak their languages, I’d seat them together.
If they’re going to be the only people of their age at the wedding, I’d seat them with their closest relatives, probably their children (your parents), or your aunts/uncles.
What a conundrum- good luck!
