I bought a dress and I moved my date 9 months and it will cost to much to alter to be appropriate and to fit.
I paid $1700 and would like to recoop some cost to purchase a new dress.
Where do you sell something like this because most sights are fairly low or for used dresses?

You can post here on the classifieds for free.
There’s also Craigslist, Ebay and some other sites specifically for dresses.

@soontobemrsdiceyd: Hmm, if it’s been up for a while without any bites maybe lower the price? Honestly I think it’s hard since a lot of brides want to try on and buy brand new from the store.

I think Preownedweddingdresses.com is probably the most popular one. You pay a fee (I think it’s $25) but it’s listed until the dress solds. There’s also oncewed (free), and stillwhite.com…you could also try bricks-and-mortar consignment shops but they would take a commission.

@soontobemrsdiceyd: I would beware of craigslist. I tried it myself and it didn’t work. Got a lot of people saying they wanted to buy the dress but wanted to mail me a cashiers check. WTF if you are going to use a cashiers check you might as well give me the cash. Cashiers checks can be fake so you gotta be careful of that. But the biggest thing was them wanting to mail the cashiers check to me…hell no, so you can get my address and stalk or harm me! I tried EBAY and tradesy.com but my dress has been on those two sites for a few months now. Good luck, I do know some brides are sucessful in selling but I haven’t been yet.
