I haven't made up my mind yet, but I'm thinking about selling my wedding dress.  I'm never going to wear it again, and I highly doubt my hypothetical future daughter will either.  Where is the best place to sell a dress?  Are there stores in the LA area that will buy it?  I'd rather not have to deal w/ Craigslist, ads, etc.

    Thanks, ladies!

I don't know of any particular stores aside from websites, oncewed.com, here in the classified sections, ebay, and of course what you mentioned craigslist.com

If you don't want to bother with ads, I would just donate it.  I've never heard of a brick and morter store that sold second hand gowns because so many women want a new dress or will look for it online.  It's a small demographic.  And if you did find a consignment store willing to take it, they usually have policies like if you don't sell your item in 30 days the item becomes the property of the store, so I'd be careful about consigning it either.

@Amani you could donate it to Brides Against Brest Cancer. At least you know it's going to a good cause :) You may be able to write it off on your taxes as well.

There are a couple consignment shops in LA that I have heard are reputable. I don't think your dress becomes their property after 30 days, but the value you will receive from the sale decreases the longer it stays there. You can read their policies on their websites or call them:
