Its going to be super hot either way so I'd go with early morning or late, late evening.. Downtown there are few parks, the riverfront, Bicentenial Mall, or if you went on the out skirts of the city there is Cedars of Lebanon State Park & they have horses there too so you could check with them about pictures.. There is some gorgeous scenery outside of Franklin in Leiper's Fork & a few creeks, etc..
Check out Southall Eden in Franklin or Cloverbottom Mansion in the Donelson/Hermitage area.
As far as timing, either sunrise or right before sunset is going to give you the best light for photos.
Cheekwood botanical gardens, very pretty gardens. I think there is an admission fee though.
We looked at Cheekwood, too and yes - there is a fee.
If you want something rustic and sweet, you might check out Arrington Vineyards and/or Front Porch Farms. They are both awesome for photos.

Hey everyone!! We are getting our engagement photos on July 23rd and I was wondering if anyone had any good ideas for locations.
Looking for something country, rustic, and sweet. We are wearing our cowboy boots during the wedding, so we will do the same for the engagement photos. We have 2 hours, so I am wanting to get some different shots in.
Also, should we do it early in the morning or late in the afternon? I have no experience with this and need as much help as possible. I just want to have beautiful engagement photos!!
