Two good Italian BYO places are the Radicchio Cafe at 4th and Wood or Il Cantuccio at 3rd and Fairmount.
La Viola is BYOB italian also - on 16th and...spruce (i think?). Somewhere near there. Food is really good from what I remember.
Thanks for the suggestions!! We ended up going to Bellini Grill on 16th between Spruce and Walnut. The food was good, not great. The service was unfortunately bad. AND I got overcharged on my bank card. The manager handled it horribly. Very disappointed.
However, FI had a wonderful birthday!
@vanilla frosting: Yea, I don't like that place at.all. I've gone there a few times before the orchestra with my mom. However, if you an excellent meal, all vegan, go next door to Mi Lah (the orange awning). Their food is fantastic. I didn't suggest it before because you said FI is a picky eater, but if you ever go out without him or he's up for a new experience, go there. They have really good brunch also on the weekends (also vegan).
Even though I'm a bit late to the party :) I highly suggest Mercato for future outings. We had a terrific dinner there.
I'm taking the husband to Osteria for his birthday this Friday. Very excited to try it.
@rachaelrobin- I actually notices Mi Lah when we were leaving and it's definitely something I would try without FI. I love vegetables and fresh foods, he on the other hand does not! Definitely something I'll have to do with a girl friend!
@lotam24- definitely let me know how Oseria goes! I've heard good things!

Hello Bees! I am calling upon all of you lovely ladies for your assistance with recommending a restaurant that I can take FI out to tomorrow night for his birthday. He is a very picky eater, so I'm gonna say either Italian or American food. Nothing too fancy, as we're really not fancy people. A BYO would be awesome, but not necessary!
Thanks in advance!!
