@dessilove:  does it need to be Texas specific or can it just be a general “we went out of town for the weekend and this is what we did” response?

@dessilove:  We will be going to NYC for mine in September!  Most of us live in DC though, so it’s like a 4 hour drive.

We went to a touristy town in Northern MN off of Lake Superior for mine which is a 2.5 hr or so drive from home.

I’m trying to get ideas for where to go for my bachelorette party as well! I was thinking of Austin, TX, but not sure about the cost

I’ve been to Vegas twice for bachelorettes.

I’ve been to Charleston, SC for one.

Charlotte, NC for one.

Mykonos, Greece for a wedding that was outside of Athens. The bachelor/ette and wedding week were all tied together.

Friends who I’ve met in Houston have gone to NOLA, Austin, and gotten a cabin out on the river for tubing in the summer.

@dessilove:  We are going to The Phoencian, a AAA Five Diamond Resort, in Scottsdale, AZ. They have 5 pools, yoga classes, high tea with unlimited champagne accompanied by a live pianist, a world class spa, and located at the base of the Camelback Mountains. My party is planned for June so it will be excellent pool and relaxation weather!

@dessilove:  my girls and i rented a 25 person “super mansion cabin” in the mountains of NC and we’re going for a long weekend. place has it all – game room, theatre room, on a river, hot tub, and a 5,000 sf deck to relax on…i wanted to avoid the whole going out in public thing…i’m too old for that hahaha! we’re just going to stay there and drink and eat and have a lovely little time! its about a 2 hour drive for most of us.

@diamond101987:  We did Austin for my MOHs bachelorette last summer and it was really reasonable. We stayed at the Hyatt and it was less than $30 per girl per night with 4 girls to a room. The restaurants are reasonable too. We went out on 6th Street and literally every bar gave the bride a shot and most of them gave the whole party a free shot, so be barely spent money on alcohol! It was so fun, which is why I want to go there for mine!
