I'll go first, We were on a balcony in San Francisco, eating breakfast, gazing at The Bay and Coit Tower.
We were on the beach in Santa Monica at sunset, about to go to dinner at "our place"...the Galley.
a nasty detroit post office. He had ordered a ring and we had stopped by to get our other mail. Unknowingly he handed me the package and I opened it while he looked at our other mail in the car. It was very him. :)
We were at a nice hotel in a pool suite when he proposed. He took me on a surprise trip and we had a very nice room, complete with fire place, pool, hot tub and steam shower! It was amazing!

....I was sitting on our couch when he proposed LOL.
On the beach of a small lake where my family has a summer home. It was late at night and we were the only ones out there.
We were on a weekend trip to Chicago so I could see the city and meet some great friends of his...when he actually proposed, we were sitting on a bench in front of Buckingham Fountain. :-)
on top of a mountain! we had just spent the whole day hiking 10 miles in the theodore roosevelt national park. we stopped at the top at this scenic overlook over the missori river & he proposed! i can't believe didn't lose the ring after 2 miles in ... :)
I was also sitting on our couch. It was New Year's Eve and he had planned to give me the ring at midnight, but he couldn't wait, so he gave it to me after dinner, around 9:00. He felt bad that he messed up his "plan," but I thought it was adorable that he was too excited to wait.
In bed at home, Saturday morning and had just woken up. He was pacing back and forth, looking nervous so I asked him if he was sick. haha

I too, was not on the couch but in the living room standing up when he suddenly got down on one knee...
He was hoping to propose on top of a mountain such as hsearle but the ring was finished the day after we got back. Either way, I loved it!
Sitting on his lap on our bed. I was in the bathroom changing when I came out and he asked me to sit down by him. I sat on his lap instead. Needless to say, he didn't get down on one knee. LOL. No romance here!
We had just gotten off the holiday carousel at Westlake Center (big shopping square downtown) in Seattle.
He proposed at the Long Island City pier in NY, which has an incredible view of Manhattan. I was sitting on the same bench we sat on during our first date :)
We were standing in front of Cinderella's castle at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom on New Years Eve!
It was on the Amalfi Coast - we were on the terrace of our hotel room, looking at the stars! The boy done good 
We were on a rocky beach in Jamestown, Rhode Island at sunset.
We were in a small town that hosts a renowned Shakespeare festival and that we like to visit at least once a year. We'd spent the afternoon at the theatre, then came back to our beauitful bed and breakfast, chilled out, took a nap, got dressed to go out for dinner and were about to leave to walk to our favourite restaurant when The Guy got down on one knee and popped the question :)

Wow! That sounds nice - a room with a fireplace, pool, hot tub, and steam shower? I haven't heard of this before, very nice.
We were on the beach in the Turks & Caicos. It was pitch black so i had to run back to the condo lighting in order to fully see the ring ;-)
We were in the barrel room at a winery. He set it all up in advance with the winery - flowers, champagne, so cute.

We were at our house, sitting on the couch, watching the History Channel.
We were out on a pier in Key West, FL. It was a big vacation for the year. He totally surprised me!
We were in a winery in Tasmania, in a beautiful pavillion hotel room, staying for a long weekend - he wanted to wait til the morning so he could propose at sunrise on our balcony overlooking the river, but it was pouring with rain and we were both too excited about the awesome pavillion, so he went into the bathroom, hyperventilated for 10 minutes while i thought he was being sick, and then came out and told me he had a present for me...we travelled light and carry on only, so he had wrapped the ring in like 5 scarves. I waited patiently while he unwrapped it and then i said YES before i even saw the ring!
Where we met when we were 10 (me) and 14 (him) :) He took me to the church camp we used to go to, and proposed by our favorite swings!
We were on Fort Myers Beach. We had gone out to dinner and afterwards were taking a stroll along the sand by the water and he picked up a seashell and asked me if I liked it. Then he picked up another sea shell asked me if I liked it and underneath the 2nd seashell was the ring. Then he got down on one knee on the sand.
