if you could get married in any city in the united states, or anywhere in the world i suppose really, where would it be?
my SO and i are from completely opposite places in the US and will be both moving to completely different places again, neither of which are our original states. his family is spread out throughout the states, but mine is back home where i grew up. however, i have absoutely no desire to get married in that area at all. our friends are also everywhere throughout the US, and europe even.
sooo…that all being said (phew), long story short, where would you get married?

If budget were not an issue, I would fly everyone to Sydney and get married by Circular Quay. But since I’m not a bazillionaire, I’d probably check out St Augustine, Fl, during the early spring before it gets too hot out. Generally it’s cheap to fly to Florida from where most of my friends and family live; it’s a beautiful, historic, romantic town with gorgeous beaches and lots to do; and it’s very affordable in the off-season, especially the B&B’s.

Oh I love this question!!
We are getting married in Turkey, which will be so fantastic no doubt, but I can think of so many wonderfully romantic places that are perfect for weddings… Smoky Mountains, St Augustine Florida, Napa Valley, Kauai… sigh! We were also thinking about Delft in the Netherlands (the first big trip we ever went on together) but apparently you can’t get married in the Netherlands unless at least one member of the couple is a Dutch citizen.
My overall pick though would be Frascati, Italy, in the hills outside of Rome. Still gorgeous even on the rainiest, dreariest day of the year.
