2 or 3! We did SA and TZ + Zanzibar for our honeymoon and loved it!

@LilLis:  Cuba. I went to Cuba last year and it was awesome.

A safari but no camping. Cuba is cheap but that’s all it has going for it.

@LilLis:  It’s just dirt cheap with crappy food and crappy accommodations. I’m used to nice resorts. When I go away, I don’t want to be slumming it.

@LilLis:  All of them sound interesting, I’d go for the Cuba trip though 🙂

@LilLis:  We stayed at a resort but there was an excursion offered where you toured around Havana for the day, had dinner, saw a show, or something like that. We didn’t go because we were in Varadero and it was like 2.5 hours to Havana, plus we aren’t the type to enjoy walking around for an entire day in +40C weather (there’s a break before dinner where you could take a shower and change clothes… that’s how sweaty you get…), and it was like $200 (not worth it for us). So you could always stay at a resort near Havana and go into town but also have the benefits of a resort.

@LilLis:  I would choose “2. Masai Mara for a camping safari then on to Zanzibar for some relaxation.” as soon as I saw ‘Zanzibar’ it was an easy decision.

Either Africa trip.

I’d just die if I could go on either! I always hear again and again that a trip to Africa is the trip of a lifetime.

@LilLis:  I’d pick Africa!  It sounds like something I would be more interested in doing while I’m young, where as beachy-dancy stuff I would probably be interested in all the time.

I’ve been to Cuba.  It is relatively cheap.  We went there specifically for a cheap beach vacation.  I don’t know how cheap it is from the UK though.  If you’re not concerned about wanting total luxury, then don’t worry about Cuba.  It’s fine but not fantastic (although I’m sure there are fantastic resorts).

@LilLis:  Africa, no doubt about it.

To me, as a Canadian (I see you are in the UK though) Cuba is a super duper cheap throw away holiday.  Trips are VERY cheap from here, and are so for a reason, other then distance.

I have been to Cuba 5+ times, and honestly it’s just fine. The food sucks (thanks international sanctions), and while the beaches are great, there are other great beaches. The AI’s are ok, but with crummy food, and just ok drinks it’s my last choice for destinations.

I feel like Cuba is a trip you can do anytime, but Africa is special
