We budgeted 12k and came in between 14 and 15k. It was okay though, and we aren’t strapped for cash now. At the end, I was no longer looking for deals and was just throwing money at things so that i wouldnt have to stress anymore!

We had a “budget” of around £35k by the end (a little over $50k). We ended up coming home from honeymoon with a few thousand in the bank of our own. I think we did pretty well.

I was “over” budget, but some of it was from not being realistic in the beginning about what our budget should be. I went in saying $20K was the budget, but that wasnt realistic given the size of our families and the type of wedding my parents expected (and they were helping pay) So I upped budget to 25K, and at the end of the day, we probably spent almost 30K. It adds up fast, and it’s all the “little” stuff that got me in the end. None of my contracted vendors, etc were over budget, and I did a lot of DIY stuff to keep costs down. It’s just all the spontaneous purchases from etsy, etc that add up. And we did last minute add linen rentals that we weren’t planning for, which added a couple grand.

So far everything $$ wise is on mark.  After the venue got paid it only cost 10.000 (which includes everything from reception to ceremony, food etc.,, except video and cake.) with a budget of 15.000 so we scored there everything else has been easy and still havent hit our 15000 mark yet! :))

We went over by maybe $2k.

But our budget wasn’t set in stone.

We went over by $1500-2000 in the end. We went in saying $10000 max. But that was before we realised that venue hire and feeding and watering 50 guests was going to be about $6000. I think we did quite well and saved a lot of costs where possible…

Right on target, I would guess within $100 of our $10k budget.
