So sorry if this has been asked before. I’m still figuring out how to navigate the boards.
I’m wondering about the best way to sell a bridal gown. Online? Best site? Consign?
I bought TWO! dresses. :/ The first one was an impulse buy under pressure, and it’s not the right dress for me, but of course it’s non-refundable, so now I need to sell it. I have no idea where to begin. And if I do sell it, how the heck do you ship a bridal gown?!
Thanks for any advice!

PreOwnedWeddingDresses and Recycled Bride are two sites where you can list them for free. Selling a dress is NOT easy. I also had two dresses and have been trying to unload one of my dresses for over 6 months- I had it listed on the above sites plus Ebay, plus the Classifieds here! I just NOW have an inquiry from what seems to be a serious buyer. Just be very clear with your description, measurements and any other information you can provide plus LOTS of photos. Good luck!

@ddavila2001: Thank you so much! I will check out those sites.

@ddavila2001: Those are the exact two sites I used in my search for a sample gown. 🙂
Have as many pictures from as many different angles as possible. Give precise, exact measurements. Have your dress dry-cleaned before you sell it and state in the ad that you’ve had it drycleaned.

I just sold a used dress through preownedweddingdresses.com within 5 days after I posted the ad… I bought the used dress from a charity organization. I decided to sell it out because my parents didn’t like it.
I got tons of inquiries (more than 20 people) within the first 3 days. Now I’m just hoping the buyer won’t return the dress to me. (I already did my best to describe the flaws of the dress.)

I have sold two gowns of my own through RecycledBride.com. Take very nice clear photos of the gown, I modeled the gowns myself or I found other brides in the gown to show the gown in action. Have a box ready to ship the dress and know that the shipping charges would be. I got what I paid for the gowns, only because I spend under $200 for both of them. I would not imagine getting full price for a $1000 gown though.
I have two more to sell! I posted i on these sites and kept a spreadsheet so I can update it easily.

Thank you everyone! I have a good idea now of where to start and how to present the dress.
I hadn’t really thought about shipping. Does the seller usually cover that?
