We got married in the summer as well but we took an Alaskan cruise!
DH and I are going to an all inclusive resort in Mexico over Thanksgiving with my ILs though. They been before and LOVED it. Maybe check out Moon Palace.
We are going to the El Dorado Resort & Spa all inclusive in the Mayan Riveria, Mexico. Costs around $3K for a week with a lot of extras we added on
We're actually meeting with a honeymoon specialist/travel person this weekend. We have ideas of Bora, Bora & Moorea, Fiji, the Maldives. St. Luci or Antigua. Were all over the board! Need to narrow it down and get some specific's. Plus our wedding is in June, so it will be high season for some of these....we shall see :)
I *think* we are going to Couples San Souci (Jamaica), but we've also been tossing around Sandals Antigua or St. Lucia. They are all-inclusives and we are trying to keep the entire trip (flight/hotel, etc) under $5k for 10 nights.
@antsy: We are going to do one week at Disneyworld (not sure of hotel just yet) and one week in Cancun (staying at the adult only--all inclusive- Excellence Playa Mujures)... Rough Estimate...it will probably cost about $3500 a piece...

We got married in July and we went on a 16-day European honeymoon - Paris, France, and Venice, Florence, and Rome, Italy. It was amazing because neither of us had been to Europe before, but very tiring - lots of walking and sightseeing! We managed to take one day off and hit the beach outside of Venice which was great.
One thing about Europe in the summer, though (at least where we went) - very busy, lots of crowds and lots of tourists! But all the wine helped to make up for it!
I'm going to Playa Del Carmen, MX to the Grand Mayan Riviera Maya. Room has a pool on the balcony, it's a huge 2-room suite & 2 jacuzzi tubs & two king beds ;) Beyond that, I don't know- FI says he's in charge but I'm worried because he doesn't plan ahead.... >.>
I have absolutely no idea and won't even know what country we'll be in until the second leg of our flight.
I gave FI full reign and can't wait to find out where we're going :)
We're going to Napa/Sonoma in November. We did a vacation rental and are staying in a condo in Sonoma. I can't wait!
We are going on a 6 night honeymoon to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. I wish we could do longer, but it's already $4000 and we have to get back to work. But, we are BEYOND excited. Should be fantastic!
All I know is we're going somewhere tropical, my fiance is in charge of it and surprising me!

I'm not sure! We decided on a cruise but FI is picking where!
Hawaii! 5 nights on the Big Island, 3 nights in a romantic, secluded resort in Maui, and 5 nights on the North Shore of Oahu.
We're doing 4 days in Capri and 5 days in Positano.
I cant wait until the wedding is over and I'm sippin bubbly on my honeymoon!

The hard thing for us is I have been everywhere, well almost. I am really keen to do stateside things as I have done my share of world traveling. He feels the opposite as he has been practically no where.
I told him that since our Alaska idea didn't pan out (way too expensive) and I was already doing so much the honeymoon was his domain. He hinted at Hawaii as he has been wanting to go there for years, so we'll see. He promises that it is in progress.
@Ms. Peach: Where in Sonoma are you staying? Looking forward to see you here soon! Our havest season got pushed back due to the wierd weather so you should be right on time with your late September visit.
We had a small intimate wedding, so we can afford a honey moon.
We actually didnt take our Honey Moon till 4 months after the Wedding.
We just got back. We went to Hawaii and had a blast!
@Ugoob: What island/hotel? I want to be in those chairs, right now.
We're taking a cruise to Bermuda. 7 days in a suite at the end of October for about $2200. We'll probably be hovering somewhere around $4000 after it's all said and done (spending money, clothes and stuff, transportation to and from the port, etc...).

We stayed at a Budget Hotel called KONA TIKI HOTEL, it was so cool!!!!
It was a no frills place, and just what we needed!
We rented a car and did activites all over the Island.
I should mention as well, the hubs planned the whole trip without telling me anything, so he literally helped me pack the day before and I didn't know where we were going until we were at the gate. It was so fun to be surprised and refreshing not having to plan the details of the trip along with planning the entire wedding.
We're going to Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand for three and a half weeks! I'm looking forward to that almost more than the wedding.
We are planning on US Virgin Islands. I'm not a beach person, per-say but i want to go somewhere where i can enjoy the weather. ANd of course eat, drink and be merry and what better place to do it then on beach right?
We're going on a seven day Western Carribean cruise on NCL lines in January. We are soooo excited.
We booked our cruise honeymoon a couple of weeks ago. We are going to spent 2 weeks sailing the waters of the Mediterranean aboad the Serenade of the Seas visiting amazing cities like Florence, Rome, Santorini, Athens among others.
well we are going some place warm. but we are going to Disney World for a week :) we are going to be spending about 2000, but it depends on if a free dining discount comes out! we will see
Italy!!! We are spending a week traveling around the country. We are so excited to go and this is our first trip to Europe! Luckily I had a ton of Hilton points to use so we aren't paying for any hotels while on the honeymoon. #winning
@kappasweetiepie: We had a blast and we definitely want to go back (we'd probably go more inland next time instead of cruise, just to do something different)! Alaska is simply breathtaking! We went sea kayaking, took a catamaran out to the glaciers, and went salmon fishing (and got to mail our fresh caught salmon home). We were also planning to go dog sledding but weather that day cancelled that excursion (so we went to the spa on the ship instead). It was a wonderful trip and made for a great honeymoon - especially if you are more outdoors-y and want to do more than lay on the beach or something for your trip.
@SpecialSundae: That will be a great trip! I worked abroad in Singapore for a summer in college and traveled all over SE Asia. You'll love it!

London for the Olympics! And actually to Paris for a couple of days first also.
Key West!! We're taking a boat down and then renting bicycles. 100% no driving required. :D And we can drink on the boat the whole way down.
We just booked ours yesterday -- 8 days in St. Lucia (Sandals La Toc)! We get married in November but are waiting until February to go on our honeymoon. Cannot wait!!!
