Well favorites are really going to depend on each bride - since many people read recaps that are similar to their own weddings! I really enjoyed Mrs Pencils because her wedding was very similar to mine. Outdoor ceremony, indoor reception, hot as balls on the wedding day, same colors, some DIY aspects, etc. I related to her a lot! I also really enjoyed Mrs Cherry Pies and Mrs Cowboy Boots (they both finished) because they had so many adorable and well thought out details.
Thanks! I realise everyone's favourites will differ, but that's the fun of it! It means I get a whole range of recommendations. Because I love reading all kinds of recaps. :)
I'll definitely check out the ones you mentioned.
Def hands down Mrs. Cowboy Boots was my favorite overall wedding EVER. From the details, location, wedding and bride in generall. All ahmazing!
I also love Mrs. Cheese' because she also had a amazing wedding but she also blogs from the more emotional side.
Zippylef!!!! Hands down. (SWOON SWOON SWOON). It was amazzzzzzing. I absolutely adored everything about it. Several things about it I have kept for inspiration. Hope she doesn't mind!
I've only been on the bee since June '10 and I have read and/or commented on every single bee who did a recap since then. I didn't comment on every single recap but I commented on most of them. So, if you started recapping since June last year, I've loved various aspects of your wedding. I have gone to older posts and been inspired by Mrs. Hamster, Mrs. Cupcake, Mrs. Eggplant, Mrs. Cheese, Mrs. Cowboy Boots, Mrs. Cherry Pie, Mrs. Chick.....okay, I am going to sound like a stalker but sometimes I just go on the blog, get on a bees posting and read every single thing. There is only one bee who is black, lives in NYC and getting married down south and is about my age and I love her wedding but I also love those that are not like mine too. I wish there were more bees that weren't all DIY. The DIY goddesses make me envious with their cricuts and Silhouettes and scapbooking and excel spreadsheets :(
Pencils, Cherry Pie, and Cowboy Boots have been my favorite recaps. I also love everything Cheese has written, but a lot of her posts are more reflective on life and relationships than wedding-specific.
I loved Champagne and Powder Puff, probably because they were planning when I was! Also, Meatball, Kitten, Gloss, Dumpling and Hot Cocoa! Can't pick just a few!
Future Mrs Martin... Loved, Loved, Loved, her pics and ideas !!!!
I loved, loved, loved Champagne, because she is a fellow winter bride. And we had the same color palette :-)
I loved Champagne too!! I have to confess that I haven't read all the recaps of all the Bees, but Buttons (still in progress) and Turtle are two of my faves. Ooh, and Mouse. And Star. I'm sure I'll think of more. Oh also Meatball! I loved the Meatball recaps! They were very music-centric and I actually stole one of their wedding songs. :)
I loved the Turtle, Mouse, Sprinkle, and Cowboy Boots recaps! (: I can't wait until Scissors starts her recaps again, I love what she's written so far.
Can't believe i'm the first but.. LOVEBUG! I started reading weddingbee just about the time she was planning. And Tiramisu because we are twins (wedding/hometown in Maine, met spouse at U of Richmond)
I loved Turtle and Octupus and Argyle although the first 2 I don't think have finished and Argyle hasn't started. They started right when I was planning.
@HoneyBear: - *blushing* THANK YOU! I'm so flattered and don't you worry - i can't wait for the ostrich recaps to start, too. :)
For those bees who haven't hopped over to the blog in awhile, there's an awesome new feature called "snapshot sundays" that highlights thebest of each bees wedding in one post. it's pretty phenomenal, and Mrs. Hamster's glamalicious nyc wedding is up on the 1st page as we speak. :)
Love Cheese's posts. Cupcake, Cola, Lace, Hamster, Octopus, Buttons, Earrings, Seashell. Taffy and I both got married in the same city, so hers were helpful too :)
A lot of the bees I love are ones whose weddings are so different then what mine will be. Ones like Cherry Pie, Sea Breeze, Nachos, Champagne, Avocado....
But others I love is because I see our wedding similar to theirs, and those would be ones like Cupcake, Hot Cocoa, Cardigan, & Labrador.
I don't think she was a blogger but I will always remember Sweet Adeline. She's not active anymore but her wedding was so amazing that it stuck in my memory!
Sewing is who got me hooked and her lovely Hawaii wedding will always have a special place in my heart :)
I loved Scissors' and wish she'd finish them! I also liked Panther's posts so I hope she'll come back and do recaps. And I liked Dolphin and Elephant and Prairie Dog.
I never did much digging into the blog archives, so I'm only familiar with the bees who were blogging while I was planning my wedding. I loved Mrs. Barrettes' winery wedding - it was gorgeous and so refreshing to see something a bit different than the ubiquitous SMP aesthetic.

Hi! I love reading recaps and whilst sites like SMP are nice with gorgeous pictures, I miss the in-between story that is told with recaps.
Rather than wading through the archives to fine a set that I haven't read yet, I thought I'd ask for recommendations.
Which Bee's recaps did you love reading the most? Preferably one who has finished their recaps because I don't like being disappointed when I realise that the recaps I'm reading finish half-way through. (Though I totally understand why and how it happens as was explained in the awesome blogger stats thread).
So, fess up, which did you love to read?
