I don't think I understand the upside down vase part - do you have a pic of that or could you describe it?
The centerpiece in that pic is fab, btw. Love it!
sorry the second pic did not upload right the first time.
Ooooh I think they're both gorgeous. But I think if you want it to be really full and lush, you should go with right side up. Could you put some upside down ones on smaller tables? Like the guest book table or something? Because they both are really pretty.
I like them both... i LOVE the smaller one contrasting to the bigger one... can you alternate?
I really love the fullness of the one with the vase right side up. You could consider alternating like kjpugs suggested but I think it could look funny because they would be the same height (usually you would do a combination of high and low) but just different scales.
Both are beautiful though!
I like right side up better. The upsidedown one is nice too but it just looks like the flower petals almost look a little smushed.
I like right side up. And man oh man, that is some centerpiece! Beautiful.
Well my first thought is that she may be trying to get you to go with right side up because it requires a larger arrangement (based on the pictures), which would be more money. Did she give you quotes for each?
I love the idea of alternating tables like kjpugs suggested.
i like the first photo better.....and they are soooo pretty!
upon, further review, I think I am confused about which one is right ride up and which one is upside down... but i still love the idea of alternating :)
I am pro-right-side-up. The up-side-down one looks too restrained and contained. Definitely not the lush look you're hoping to go for. Have you thought of something in the right-side-up vase such as those crystals which become gel when you add water? I ask because if you combine something like that gel with rose petals floating in it, you'd get the rose petal look on top, but without the cost of filling the whole upper side of the vase with petals. Alternatively, you could fill the upper vase with fake rose petals ($5 for a box of 1000 is a typical price on craigslist or ebay) and have fresh petals in the top. I bet no one would notice the ones inside are not real!
DOH... lampshade is right... if they're the same height, alternating might look off. If I have to choose I choose right-side up

Hi everyone,
I met with my florist recently and I gave her two photos of centerpieces that I really liked. We are going to use apricot, and pink roses, ivory hydranges and mini orange or pink callas sort of sticking out of the top and sides. I want it to appear lush like the centerpiece with the vase right side up. However, My my dilema is which way the vase should be right side up or upside down?? My florist seemed to like the idea of it upside down so we can put the rose petals in the top. What do you all think???
