My venue had three different chair types I can choose from. The first one is a typical blue coushioned banquet chair, second is wood, third is a black and blue cafe style chair. I am leaning towards avoiding chair covers because of budget. I am going for a contemporary feel and my colors are dark teal, yellow, and brown. Also, does anyone know a way to dress up these chairs besides covers without making them look worse? Sorry for the bad pictures. Thanks!

What style are you going for? My original instinct was #2 because I love the wooden look and think they’d look great even without dressing the up! But, #3 could go great if you wanted to tie ribbons or a sash on the chairs!

I’d go with the simplest, cleanest looking one. I can’t tell what #1 looks like, but out of 2&3, I like 3. 2 looks like chairs at shoneys.

I think the wooden chairs have a more modern style. I generally avoid chair covers like the plague, as all you see is a sea of white- totally detracting from the other decor.
As brown is one of your colors, I would be happy using them as is.
You could look at alternative ways to tie the chair sash
you could do a ribbon sash- for the sqaure back chairs- do just one or two sets of ribbon
if your are a sewer you could make little slipcovers just for the chairbacks

I like the second ones the best. Especially if your colors include brown, I think it works great.

#3 type are not comfortable on the back…..I would stay with #1 or #2.

based on your description, i think i would go with #1 given the color scheme, contemporary feel goal, and guest comfort.
