I’ve been engaged since 2006. Have always known since then that I wanted a 1920’s themed wedding.
I have been confused on what colors to use just to tie in with the theme. I don’t want it to be too much with a color theme AND a 1920’s theme, but I want it all to blend. I figure if I don’t keep it to a few certain colors, it would look messy.
I asked you ladies the other day what colors would match with my theme. Today I was able to get onto photoshop and put some colors together. So which color scheme do you like best?
PS I am still open to suggestions! 🙂

I like theme number 1 the best, I might even consider eliminating emerald and just using gold ivory & Pantone emerald

The maroon looks a little harsh, and the emerald/pantone emerald can create texture through color without looking aggresive. Have you considered a deep accent color, like Navy or Plum? Sometimes a touch of dark color creates an interesting surprise, or dramatic pop of color.

When I think 1920’s I think silvers, golds, navy, etc. I’d say look up some art work from 1920 For inspiration. Check out Alphonse Mucha which was a famous illustrator at the time and did magazine illustrations. 🙂

I think the first one is best. I would definitely stick with mostly metallics either silver oor gold with some accent colour to add interest. When I think 1920s I always think of beautiful metallic textures.

I agree with @kittywolf13 – when I think of 1920s, I think gold, silver, black, white, maybe navy?

Definitely palette number 1 but I like the idea of using metallics as well.

I would say keep the gold and the ivory. I feel like the pantone emerald in the first selection is closer to the emerald in the second selection for some reason. Either way, I’d say keep that one because it seems to be aricher more vibrant emerald color. As for a 4th color i agree with a navy or a black (what will FH wear?). When I think of 1920s I mainly think gold ivory and black. You should be able to find a lot on pinterest too.

The only problem I see is with two greens people might think you were going for one green and just did a poor job matching colors. They’re pretty close.

I don’t really like either colour choices. I would stick to gold & champagne colours.

Number 2. But I LOVE jewel tones.

I never noticed till just now that I had replies to this thread. The past two nights have sucked massively for me. I’m super disappointed and upset about the lack of understanding and caring someone showed to me last night. So my mind set is too blah to really think colors today. I will probably try to find some images famous from the 20s and try to make a pallet from that at some point when the computer isn’t being hogged by someone. Sorry, I’m moping. Not a good look. But hey, it happens.
