I need your help on a theme! Here’s a bit of info on the wedding: We’re getting married in the midwest in June, in a window filled ballroom overlooking a lake, (which I still can’t believe!) I’m trying to figure out what color scheme would work best with our venue & I need help! My favorite colors are light yellow and robin’s egg blue, but I’m also a sucker for sparkles and I’m a Spanish teacher so I like the idea of a bright fiesta colored reception as well. What color scheme do y’all like the best?
I feel like a dummy because these two themes are SO different, but I love them both!
Thanks in advance for your vote!
2) Colorful fiesta

i like the first one too 🙂

I think the first one is much more elegant. The other feels too much like a birthday party to me.

I love the innocence of the yellow and blue. Plus the yellow can still add that “bright fiesta” too! Like those bright yellow shoes! Love it!!!

I love both themes, but I voted for the yellow and teal as I think it would be more suitable for your venue, and looks much more romantic.

Teal and yellow just screams June lakeside wedding to me – +1 vote for yellow and teal

I like the first for a wedding more… it looks sweet and elegant

I think the fiesta will be very difficult to pull off well. You’d need a David Tutera size team and budget to really do it right. The first color scheme, however, could be done well with a much more realistic budget.

Another vote for scheme #1.

I love the vitbrant colors of the second and you don’t have to do fiesta tacky but sophisticated. It’s during the summer-celebrate! The yellow is nice and mature and perfect for a ladies tea…yawn….

Lots of cream and yellow, touches of soft robin’s egg.
Fiesta is a little too….cheesy family reunion.

Thanks, Bees! You’ve helped control in the Spanish teacher in me, (not to mention proved my lovely Fiance right!) I think the softer pallete of yellows and teals will be the ticket! 🙂 Also good point lisaelanna about the budget side of things… I’m very DIY, but wouldn’t want the papel picado etc. to come off tacky. The lighter pallete would probably be easier to DIY in a classy way.

I think the fiesta because it’s June and very summer. I love all of them but the lighter colors are (to me) like Easter time spring colors. Any of those will look beautiful though.
