I did a post here and some of the comments related to the smudging...
http://www.weddingbee.com/2009/06/18/photo-book-experiences/
I used www.smilebooks.com . Guests wrote on the blank pages, opposite of the photo pages. They used sharpies, and it worked well! There was no bleeding, smudging, or transfering of black ink to the opposite page.

I would like to create a photobook as our guest book at the wedding. It would have photos of us growing up and engagement photos on one side of the page; the other side would be blank so that people can paste in the photos from our photobooth and write little notes to us.
My big concern is that people's notes will smudge on the photo book paper. Most companies I have looked at (including mypublisher, blurb, mpix) seem to have glossy paper. I'd like the photos to look great, but also want us to be able to read what people write!
Has anyone made a photo book guest book that people wrote in without smudges? What company did you use?
Thanks for your advice!!!!
