WIthout knowng the compartments inside I LOVE the Bluefly and Modcloth one!!!
Share links!! I'll be willing to pay that price for those as "going out" diaper bags.
I use the Bluefly one as a diaper bag, I love it. It's very spacious and holds everything I need, and durable! I used a normal diaper bag for a while and it was way too big and felt like I was carrying a luggage bag all day, when I switched to this I love that it could double as my purse and my daughter diapers bag without everyone knowing. Got TONS of compliments on it and it matches everything!
That one has my vote, also love the Mod Cloth one.
@regberadaisy: alright I edited the post to include the links :)
@leightybug: you have the same one?! That's awesome! My sister said that her skip hop diaper bag is actually a little small now that her son is older, but partly cause she uses prefold diapers which are quite thick. But I like the size of all of these - the modcloth is the biggest, but it will be nice especially for traveling (like our summer vacation).
I like any of the first three! I don't know about having a white diaper bag..that would make me nervous it would be a stain magnet :/
Knowing NOTHING about diaper bags, I went with the first one. It's so pretty! :) I also really like the Topshop Tote, but I'm worried that white will get dirty really easily (though perhaps it's available in other colors?).
@miss-spunkin: Then I definitely say get the Mod. I only use this one when we are going out for the day and my daughter is 2 years old so we tend to pack less now that she's older. When she was younger and we had to go out for longer then a couple hours and I needed to bring clothes,10+ diapers, bottles etc. I would have to use the bigger diaper bag.
I would go with whichever one you would carry more as a purse. You will find that within a few months you are either throwing everything you need for yourself into the diaper bag, or that you are throwing what diaper bag stuff you need into your purse. (The canvas one really isn't the most practical when you are talking flying poop and spit up). You may also want to consider a more masculine second one for your DH. It is always nice to have two ready so you both have one ready and you are not trying to figure out when to put your wallet when you do a hand off.
@parasol: haha! That's okay, I think the main function of a diaper bag is simply to hold the kids' things, which is why I started looking at regular bags. Diaper bags have a price tag without the quality to match, so I'd rather get a bag I like.
As for the Topshop bag there is a blue one but I don't like the color, or a mint one, but that is still really like. Staining is a good point, though I'm pretty good about not staining lol
@miss-spunkin: just to touch on the whole SO having a diaper bag, my FI ordered a free one from Nestle. It's not the prettiest thing ever but he says it does the job, and didn't cost us a penny! Plus, it's a back pack style one so he didn't feel odd carrying it around.
ETA: nestle may be canadian though, not sure. look into it if interested!
UGH! So I was totally leaning toward the yellow modcloth one and waited too long! It's out of stock :( boooo.. and with modcloth you never know when they'll get it back in stock :(
@leightybug: really?? hmm they just give them away?
ETA: I just looked - that is SO cool! Though it doesn't look like it's eligible for US :(
Alright I decided!!
Just purchased the bluefly bag :)
I was going to order the modcloth one, but waited too long and it went out of stock :( oh well.. I looked and the bluefly bag is actually about the same size, actually just a tad bigger so I'm happy about that. Thanks for all your input!

Okay I cannot belive how hard it has been for me to find a diaper bag I actually like. I don't like most bags labeled as "diaper bags" because they seem poor quality for the price or look too babyish, that I may only use them for a short period of time. I want this piece to be an "investment" haha ;)
So these are my top contenders:
Bluefly Faux leather Cross body Satchel - $65
Modcloth "Travel bag" $63
JP Lizzy Slate - the only actual "diaper bag" contender $60
Topshop Tote - $64
OR this option... there is an Etsy seller who handmakes quality Lambskin leather bags - they are gorgeous. She has you design the type of bag you want, then makes it. It is much pricier than the above options, but it would be a high-quality piece that I know I would love. It would be about $170. Go HERE to see her store.
