Mmmm both sound really good. If I were personally a guest at your wedding, I would definitely prefer the second option. I can’t eat anything with gluten in it, meaning I’d be filling up on asparagus and possibly a side of chicken if you had the Italian buffet… haha but most people are more adaptable.

Well, I’m Italian and I love my pasta soooo I’m voting the buffet.

    Other italian dishes:

    • Chicken marsala
    • Chicken francaise
    • Penne alla vodka

Both sound yummy, but I tend to favor more to the dinner side. Personally when I attend a wedding, and am all dressed up, I don’t care to balance dishes etc from a buffett. Also, I think dinners move faster since noone is left waiting to be called up. It all depends on your venue and which they do well.  Im sure it will all be fine whichever you decide. Oh and I think pasta and potatoes is a little too much starch. Going to have some very sleepy guests if oyu have both. Maybe add chicken parm tothe pasta buffett for some protein?

@MsBrooklynA:  It’s chicken cooked in a lemon sauce served with whatever type of pasta you’d like.  It’s really, really good.

I hate pasta with ricotta and I’m not a big fan of Alfredo sauce, so I voted for the traditional menu.

I’d go for Italian if you could mix and match your pasta and sauce.

@MsBrooklynA:  Yeah any type of vegetable side dish (even if it’s just a salad without croutons) works well. Also, some type of meat side dish that doesn’t use flour in the recipe, like chicken picatta or chicken vesuvio, which are both very good and very popular dishes!

I voted for the Italian bar because I don’t like ham.

And yes, I would add the cheesy potatoes to my pasta plate even though they don’t go because they are cheesy potatoes and you can’t pass those up.
