Both are stunning! But I lean towards the Maggie. Would love to see them on you! That can really change how a dress looks! But, like I said, both are gorgeous!!!
They're both nice. I think I might like the first one better. But it looks like one is off white, and the other white. Which color do you prefer?
I'm a Maggie bride so you'd think I'd be biased but I absolutely love the Mori Lee. *Drools*
i prefer ivory. in either dress you can order ivory which is great and the maggie has an ivory choice that has light gold accents which is beautiful ;)
im partial to lace so the second one, and the first dosent look particularly easy to sit in....
I love both of them! I just don't really like how the sash on the Maggie doesn't go straight across. I think if I tried on that dress, it would make me look shorter or something. Too bad you dont have a pic of you in them!
The Mori Lee. The Maggie looks.... cheaper. I don't know what it is. I think it's the fabric. The Mori Lee just looks more luxe.
I like the maggie it just looks so soft and romantic!
The first one except for the butt bow. I don't really like the wrap around the thighs and butt of the second one that says look here! it's just not where I want someone looking.
I like the second one slightly better, but both are gorgeous :D
and @tobe @rachelss: the "butt bow" is just the corset ribbon. I know on a similar bridesmaid dress I wore we were tied into the dress and then the "bow" was tucked into the dress and the extra ribbon was cut off. Hence, no "butt bow"!
wow....i just voted and its 50/50! sorry that prolly doesnt help much, they are just sooo beautiful!!
You know what, i tried on that Mori Lee. I kid you not. It freakin' looked weird on me in person....it did not flow like that. The silhouette was strange, but i loved the beading all on the bodice. Make sure you like it ON you as much as you do in person.....im a little biased as I was really shocked the silhouette looked so weird!
yeah, this is an extremely difficult choice. when i saw the first dress, i thought "yes!" but when i saw the second dress, i also thought "yes!" so i didn't vote in the poll. did you try them on? that will help your decision.
but i do LOVE the diagonal sash on the second dress. the assymetrical feel will elongate you and really flatter any figure. but i also love the true mermaid feel of the first.
good luck!
The poll is proof! That these are equally as intriquing and beautiful. Which is how I feel. I cant help but laugh lol. thank you bees for all your help :)
@ ToBeMrsG I never ever thought about sitting down in my wedding dress! :) good point
I definitely say that since it is such a close call that you need to try them both on and have someone help you decide.....they may notice somthing you don't
Are the prices pretty much the same? That could help decide.
I love the material of the second one but I'm not sure if I like where the band lies so I chose the first one.
I really like them both, but I think I like the more defined silhouette of the 1st one better. Not a fan of the bow on the tush though.
I like them both, but I always feel that unless you are SUPER skinny, the drop waist sash on the Maggie might hit at an awkward place and do more harm than good. Of course, I haven't seen either on you, so it may look fantastic!
I LOVE the lace overlay on the Maggie dress. And I think the drop waist is gorgeous.
Like others have said, it really makes a difference what they actually look like on YOU. But objectively speaking, I like the Maggie one better.
I think they are both nice, but the Mori Lee looks like it would be a more flattering fit. The second one is so nice at the bottom, but the bodice seems really long, so it depends on your body type and height.
I definitely prefer the Mori Lee. They're very different though. The Mori Lee is younger/fresher looking and i like the shape of it. My dress is also a mermaid/trumpet look, so I'm biased there. Shape aside, the Mori Lee looks richer, the Maggie one does look on the cheaper side, too common with that type of lace. Plus the shape of the Maggie is old school, traditional. It all depends what look you're going for and what YOU like the most. You have to close your eyes and not think twice about it and just pick the one that your gut tells you. Good luck!
Oh man, I would eat up that Maggie gown if i didnt already have one.
I think the first dress looks classier. But it totally depends on how you look in it.
@rachelss @babyboo--I totally agree about the butt bow! I knew there was probably a good way of getting rid of it but that's a useful idea. My thighs are the biggest part on me so be careful to the fit on the second one. It may accent you in an unflattering way, but both are very pretty!
Well - you know I am partial to the Mori Lee - but I didn't try on the Maggie. I did see it on another bride and was kind of loving it, but something about the organza/tulle skirt makes it look a little cheaper than the Mori.
I say stick with Mori - it looks GREAT on you!
all you ladies are great
@snapdragn73 Thank you girl! i need to hear reassurance every once an awhile. my friends and family are in maryland, and i live in OHIO w/the fiance. so thankful for this website and all you ladies!
I voted for Maggie. Both dresses are REALLY pretty, just the material on the skirt part is different. Did you try them on?
