Ok for anybody who read my “can’t find the dress” rant, I took one more chance and went to a very tiny/hidden bridal shop in my area where I found a gorgeous dress! It made me cry and I was so in love. unfortunately it was a size too small so I couldn’t get the entire effect, but I can order it a size larger and this one was zip up, but it also comes coreset style which will help hide any imperfections..
BUT THEN I went over to another shop where I had already found a gown I loved before, but I was just a bit unsure of it.. I tried it on a second time and I had a smile from ear to ear.. no tears, but I still love it. However it had a few things that I’m a little unsure of (i.e. it was a bit too low in the bust for my liking, but I was told that could probably be fixed by a seamstress.. and I’m still unsure about straps.. I’ve always loved strapless)
So I’m still a little confused. Which dress do you bees like the best on me?? I need some more opinions!
Sophia Tolli Vincia (I’ve posted this dress on here before, so sorry if you’ve seen it already)
Alfred Angelo 2236 (REMEMBER: this sample was a size too small! The imperfections (seams and my pot belly lol) will vanish with a larger size)
ETA: If anybody happens to also have pictures of the Alfred Angelo gown, I’d LOVE to see them!

One is beautiful on you. I love the crisscross shirting. It really flatters your figure. Tears I think are a good thing!!!!!!!

I love dress no# 1. The ruching/pleats make you look curvy; and, it’s very flattering!

I like the first one…the seond one is nice, but I feel like I’ve seen a million dresses just like it. I think the ruching on the first one is more flattering on your figure, and it’s something a little different.

I prefer the first one it looks great on you

Both look really nice on you, but dress 1 makes you look more delicate then the other dress.

@Pamelor55: The tears were actually for the AA dress.. big smiles for the sophia tolli.. So confused!
Thanks all for the votes thus far… making a decision is tough!

I love everything about the first dress… from the way it is cut and sits on you, to the sleeves, to the intricate beading on top to the rouching! I actually wish I had found something like that for me when dress shopping!!!!!

I love the AA dress and totally wish it was an option when I was shopping for a wedding dress! 🙂

Of both dresses I think #1 looks more flattering and romantic. Lace is bridal but unless it has an overwhelming wow factor gets over done. I know tears are normally a sign its “the dress” and it was not the best size but “smiles ear to ear” is happy and every bride wants to be happy that day . Its a hard decision and can’t wait to know which you pick but my vote again was DEFINITELY #1

Thank you all!
It is DEFINITELY a hard decision and I hoped getting some opinions would help but I think I’m more confused now! lol
I know once I sit on it for a few days (or even weeks) one will start to stand out to me as the dress.. This is how I narrowed it down to begin with, so hopefully this will keep happening! 🙂
They both make me so happy and are both pretty unique dresses. The lace one has the satin piece in the middle and has little flowers all over the gown so it sparkles SO much in person and to me stands out from other lace dresses (and the lace is sooo soft, unlike other lace dresses I tried on).. but then Vincia is so unique with the criss crossing and the pretty sparkle around the top.. and the satin shine is to die for. I went from having no clue what to do and feeling like I wasn’t finding the dress, to having two to choose from.. there is always hope!

I like the first one but I don’t like the lacy straps on it…

@mchitt329: Agreed. I also wasn’t a huge fan of the straps but they started to grow on me. I actually tried it on again and tucked the straps in.. I asked them if they thought that maybe the straps could be made removeable so that I’d have the option but she wasn’t sure.. there was no seam between the straps and the bodice so she thought that maybe it would be a difficult thing to do.. It’s a possibility but it’s also possible I’ll be stuck with the straps if I pick it. here it is tucked in
(And this picture will give everybody an idea of what I mean when I say it was way too low cut for my liking.. the consultant told me that the seamstrss could likely put an insert in and they’d bead it to make it match the gown)
