Hey bees, I would looove to know what everyone thinks of these dresses and which one I should wear for the big day. A little background-we’re going to have a morning ceremony on a lawn followed by a brunch reception.
Dress 1- Originally when I tried this one on, I didn’t like it at all. Then I got home and looked at the pictures and I fell in love. I don’t know about the strapless though, I always wanted something with straps- lace with a keyhole would be my favorite. And obviously this dress is a little small- tight on the belly and sits too high.
Dress 2- I tried this one on today (my second dress shopping trip). Originally I found this online and fell in love with it. The only problem is that the back has fake buttoms and a zipper that I’m not a fan of. Also, I’m afraid it will look shiny in pictures
So, what do you think?
I’ll just throw one this in for fun 🙂

I think the strapless one flatters you more. You could get cap sleeves added to it, if you really want sleeves!

I voted for the strapless dress. It’s very pretty. I think you are right to be concerned about how the fabric of the second dress may appear in your photos.

I love the first dress and think it is perfect for the wedding you described!

@mepayne: That’s what the consultant was saying too, so that’s good news! I’m going to call them when they open again (they have very strange hours) and see if they can even do the keyhole. I love that design aspect so much
@Brielle: I’m glad you don’t think I’m crazy about the shine like everyone else I mention it too thinks haha!
@celticbride: Thank you! I’ve been trying to avoid the big ballgowns and crazy long trails 🙂

Everyone voting but not commenting, what are your thoughts?

I think that since neither dress wowed you in store and since you’re putting it to a vote that you haven’t found your dress. I think you should keep looking!

Normally I would always pcik the non-straples choic3, but I think that strapless is really pretty!

I think the first dress is the most flattering on you although I do like the sleeves on the second dress.

I love the back on the second one! and you look happier in that picture so I voted for number 2. The lace is gorgeous!

The first dress hits you at just the right spot. It really flatters your figure!

I agree with PP’s, add lace sleeves/back to the 1st dress and I think you’ll be perfection! Also, your puppy is super cute! 🙂

I love the way the second one looks from behind, but I’m not thrilled with the way it looks in the front. It’s very pretty but it looks thin/flat. Maybe if you wear a petticoat or a slip underneath so that it looks a little fuller, I think it will be beautiful.
I’ll be honest, I don’t like the first one at all. You look very thin in it, but the dress itself is very blah. I don’t know why… it just doesn’t look like a wedding dress to me. It looks like a white bridesmaid dress.
Edit: when i say add a petticoat, I don’t mean to make it more ballgowny or poofy. I just mean adding a slip or something so that the fabric looks less thin.

@kbiceling: Yeah, I had that “oh my gosh” moment, but when I got home and looked at the picture of it I was like …no. I’ve been to basically all the shops in town so I think the shopping is over for now, but I’m okay with that. A dress has to be orded in the next few weeks in order to come in time anyway lol
@Jer72: Hehe, I wish too!
@nutMeg13: That was my thoughts going into dress shopping too! I was like No strapless dresses EVER, but this one has definatly grown on me!
@Shaundanae: @Olive27: Thanks! The sleeves is what I loved the most about the second one too! The style has always been my dream dress.
@AlwaysSunny: Thanks! It might also be because it was really tight! You can see my belly button and I even had spax on!
@seabunny: hehe thanks, she loves dressing up! The cat also got a matching tux 🙂
@WonderBee: “you look very thin in it” is all I need to hear LOL just kidding! And I agree with you about the 2nd, they didn’t have any slips to fill it out that would fit me, for some odd reason.
