I am torn between two bridesmaid dresses. All of my girls love both gowns and I’m conflicted. So, I’d thought you guys could help me! Surprising enough all of my girls liked purple dresses vs the pewter/charcoal I was going to pick, go figure! Remember my colors are smoky purples and grays.
First one is a Tiered taffeta and netting dress (picture 1 & 2) by B2. It fits extremely well and the color, Purple Rose (picture 3). Well it’s just perfect and I’m in love with it.
Then the second dress is a Forever Yours satin dress (I HATE satin) but all my girls loved it as well. (Picture 4) They loved the simplicity of it and the corset ties on the back. The colors would be the main part (that is dark blue in the picture) be Plum (plum looks a lot darker in the swatches in the store) and the accents, Charcoal (pictures 5&6 respectively)
So ladies, Which dress do you like in the colors showing?

Definitely the first one! It’s really elegant and beautiful, and doesn’t look quite so bridesmaidy.

I love love love number 1. I think the stripes are classic and the contrasting fabrics are sophisticated. I would love to wear it to a holiday party. It looks young, fresh and fun.

I think the first dress is so beautiful! I love the layered look and it seems very flattering on all figures 🙂

Love the first one. Definitely more unique and modern.

I like the first one better for its uniqueness but voted for the second because your wedding is in May and the first one makes me think of fall/winter. I think Satin is a much better spring fabric.

I love the first one! Agree with Historybride that it doesn’t look so bridesmaidy. It’s a dress your girls could wear again on other occasions.

is only one in your bridal party bigger wasted if so #1 would make them look twice as bigg with the stripes. Honestly i think the first one is kinda icky.

The tiered dress is going to be unique and amazing… and I know that at least I would definitely wear it again.

I have 4 girls. One is 5’8″ and stick thin. I’m not worried about her wearing the dress and she is out of state. I took my three remaining girls, under 5’3″, two of the girls are semi plus size (14) and the my MoH who was trying on all the dresses is a size 4 and 4’11” 🙂 As you can see, every shape and size and the two bigger girls loved both choices and were excited to wear them
I’m not sure where picture 5&6 went, they showed the colors but you can get an idea in your head of a dark purple with smoky gray trim. The purple dress (3rd picture) they all veto’d and it said it looked like a business suit dress; and I’m really letting the girls pick out the dress. I thought they would be all over the tiered one b/c it’s not very bridesmaidy. That’s the one I’m leaning towards, but I think I’ll go to another store so the other girls can see how dresses fit on their bodies as well as my MoH.

While I like the first one,if some of the girls are a little larger, the horizontal lines of it would make them even more wide.

My 2 cents – let the girls look at all of them and try them all on and then let them come to some sort of mutual consensus – after all – thy are the ones wearing them and they might prefer different styles – even if it is the same dress or color.
This way everyone is happy!
