I actually think the Maggie is very flattering on you, too! It seems like the Maggie sample is bigger on you than the Sincerity dress, so I think once the Maggie dress fit you like it is supposed to, they would be equal in the flattery department.
They're both very pretty but I think the first one better suits your venue. I'd go with the Maggie - it looks great on you!
I prefer the Maggie, the second dress reads a little prom to me
I like the first one better (personal taste) but I think the second dress suits the venue more (outside with mountains). =) So I voted 2.
Wow! Even split. The second dress does give you a bit more of a waist, but you look tiny with a great figure so you certainly don't look anything less than gorgeous in the first one. I think the first one is definitely more appropriate to your venue. And I agree with @LGenz, the second one is a teensy bit prom.
I LOVE the first one! So vintage and unique! The second one is beautiful but more common in my opinion.
Both of them look great. The only reason why I voted for the ivory one is because I like its top/bust much better. The Maggie one's bust just looks kinda funny. But maybe it would look better a few sizes down.
I really like both, but vote for the Maggie. I think you'll find that once alterations are completed it'll look fantastic. It looks like it might just be too big?
you really cannot go wrong. If a white dress is important to you than #2. I prefer #1 though
Both pretty dresses ! I think once the first one is in your size it will look phenomenal :)
i dont like the first pic with the stuff in the center of the bust and the stuff on the skirt looks messy to me.
i love the second dress! i think the beading makes it look really rich.
I love the skirt on the first one but the bodice of the second! I'm sure that's not helpful, but they're both gorgeous!
The thing to remember is that on a dress in your correct size, the ruching around the middle will end higher up. The only real problem with the Maggie right now is that the ruching goes too far down on your hips, but in the right size, the proportions will be a lot better and I really think the Maggie will end up being more flattering on you than the Sincerity. It has a gorgeous shape overall and a nice balance of detail, whereas the Sincerity has all its detail on the bodice and then is very plain on the bottom.
Both pretty dresses ! I think once the first one is in your size it will look phenomenal :)
They are okay, but I think you can do better.
Based on those pictures, I prefer the second on you and I prefer it as a whole. But that's just me. I think the first one looks fine, just prefer the second.
Thanks for all the feedback so far! Really helpful - keep it coming! :-)
One thing that I forgot to say in the initial post is that one of the bust pleats on the Maggie sample was kind of messed up. I'm not sure if that has anything to do with what people mean in their comments about the bust, but figured it was worth mentioning!
Not helping with the split but I love the second one! it fits your body perfectly and I love the flow of the dress :)
I love the color of the Maggie, but the fit of the Sincerity. I can see why you're torn! I voted Sincerity because the fit just looks better to me.
I agree with ^^ that I love the color of the Maggie but the fit of Sincerity. I feel like the Maggie just chops you with that waistline.
The Maggie! It is so soft and romantic, and the color is TDF.
ETA I don't know if you've seen this thread, but you can see how the Maggie will fit in the proper size. It is a gorgeous dress!
The great thing about doing a poll like this is that it will show you which dress you like better - I found myself rooting for the Maggie and dismissing anybody who picked the other one as having drastically different taste than me. So, I ordered the Maggie yesterday! Thanks to everybody for helping me realize what I really wanted! :-)
@LittleRiver: The color is what got me in the first place. Best part! It's no oatmeal, but I'm glad it's not white/ivory. :-)
@kelly789: YAY! I am so happy for you. It's a beautiful dress. Maggie does such amazing not white/ivory colors (I stalk the Victoriana in pearl rose....). You made a great choice!
ETA So what color veil are you wearing?!
@LittleRiver: Probably champagne colored (with my Chardonnay dress... so much booze involved in this getup... haha)! I tried one on with it and it looked great. I still think the lady at Lovely is crazy for saying that colored veils cast weird shadows. I haven't seen that effect yet in pictures or in real life!

Hello! I'm still hunting for a dress, and at the moment I've got it down to two. The first one is a Maggie Sottero in light gold, and the second one is a Sincerity in ivory. I like the Maggie dress itself better (especially the color!), but I think the Sincerity is more flattering. Torn! What do you guys think? (Note: These are both quite a few sizes too big as shown here...) I'm having a 60-guest wedding and reception both outdoors in the mountains in October, by the way.
