I know seeing just a picture of anything rarely gives it justice, but for my sake, a picture is literally all I have. I moved to a smallish town in Sweden and one tiny little wedding boutique is all we have! I can go to Stockholm to browse dresses but with the cost of transport plus the high cost of boutiques there, I'd rather take my chances online.

These 3 dresses are what I've found so far. Which one do you think is better for a full figured girl!

I think the second dress would be best for a fuller figure, especially since the corset will help create shape.

I was leaning towards the 1st one for a long time, but now I'm thinking that the 3rd one will be the most comfortable of the three (plus it will hide more in the mid-section).

You can't tell anything from a model picture since they are tiny to begin with and then airbrushed on top of that. You have to actually try them on since what looks great in a picture on someone else may not look good on you. What looks bad on a hanger may look stunning on you. But you won't know anything until you try on different dresses. Also be open to more than one style.

That said, the corset back on #2 is alot more forgiving for larger figures than buttons.

Thanks Ms cheerful! My best friend also recommended dropped waist dresses and I really do like the waist area of that dress, it's just that I don't really like the back of it (although no one will really see it since we're having a casual affair).

Ms Ember78, unfortunately I can't try any on! If I was back home in California, I would never even think to buy online but I don't have many alternatives where I am Frown

It really depends on how you're proportioned, too.

If you carry your weight in the middle, the third dress may be the most flattering because it is slightly empire (the band/sash on the dress sits above the natural waist) and the dress floats away from the body from the band down.  It would emphasize what is likely the the narrowest part of your torso (your rib cage right underneath your boobs) and de-emphasize everything from that point on down.

The second dress would be harder to pull off if you carry your weight in the middle.  The the band at the bottom of the bodice is just at or just below what seems to be the natural waist line, and because of the lack of detailing there, your mid-section would be *on display* so to speak . . . that section of the dress emphasizes the waist because (1) it does not have any lace/embroidery/applique detailing on it, (2) it super smooth (as opposed to the rest of the dress that has either lace detailing or a lace/chiffon overlay.

I forgot to add that these are all gorgeous choices!!!

I have relatively thin shoulders, fairly large breasts and bottom heavy, so I would have to agree with you, AFishCalledPuddles. The smallest part of me is underneath the breast and unless I loose tons of weight to regain my girly figure, that lovely 2nd dress will sufficate me.

    Thank you!

I found a recent picture from a friend's album of me standing up (it's cut-off, I know, but it's the closest thing to a full-body shot I've ever taken). Because I'm wearing black, you can't tell so much how big I am, but I'm full-figured.

Thanks for all the votes and input!

I'm a plus sized gal and my dress has a corset which is AMAZING for me figure wise. I have  very hour glass figure and it really brings out the beautiful curvy shape. So i would vote dress 2!

I voted for dress #3 because I think that the ribbon around the waist will accent the smallest part of your body and look very flattering! The second dress would also be great because of the corset.

From the picture that you posted, you don't look full figured at all. Good luck finding your dream gown!!!

I voted #2 as I think the corset back will be very figure flattering and I liked it the best!

speaking as a full figured girl I know the only dress I could wear would be the last one. They are all beautiful but i think the last one will be best for a beautiful curvy body! good luck..im sure you will be beautiful! good luck and congrats
