both look beautiful on you.
This really depends on what vibe you are going or.
1) all around classic dress, very versatile style wise.
2) my personal fav -- great understated french vintage feel. LOVE the pleating at the bottom. Love the pale shell colored embroidery and beadwork.
If you do #2 I would suggest using the dress itself as inspiration for your wedding theme and vibe. There's a lot you could run with there.
I really love the first dress. It looks fabulous on you. In case this information is helpful, my dress originally had the same neckline as your dresses, but I had a sweetheart neckline put in, and I really like it for my body. Congrats!
ahh...
if it's Mexico then go with #1
No question, the first dress looks great on you! The second looks like it could become a wrinkled nightmare.
Both are gorgeous and flatter your figure nicely, but I agree that #2 is best for a destination wedding in Mexico.
Second dress looks much more unique and I think would be great for the wedding in Mexico. First one is a bit more mainstream. I feel that I'm seeing it everywhere I turn these days. I would go with second one.
i like dress #2. those pleatings have been one of my latest obessions. a friend of mine had some similar on her dress and they looked gorgeous. i think it'd fit better with the dw wedding. it kind of reminds me of the ruffles on the traditional dresses
I LOVE dress #1! That one gets my vote. I do really like the pleating on dress #2, but I didn't notice it until the second time I looked at the dress. Maybe if it was hemmed it would be more noticeable and then I might just have to change my vote ![]()
#1 is very generic, pretty but kinda boring too.
when i scrolled down to #2. i thought "wow she looks amazing" the pleats are beautiful and unique but not outrageous or too trendy. you just look better in it.
#2!!! no contest.
I like #1 best, but I would try the sweatheart neckline like enmoore66 suggested.
For Mexico I would for sure pick number one. I also second or third the idea of trying to make it a sweatheart neckline because I think it will make it that much better.
They are both beautiful gowns. But I would say Gown #2 would look best. It is very form fitting. It shows more of your curves. I think it looks sexier. hehe! =) For Gown #1, it is also pretty. My cousin just got married in May. Her dress was similar to gown #1. On the pictures, the laces didn't show as much. I think it would be great if the color isn't white. Well its just my opinion. =)
My vote is #1! I'm not really a fan of the pleatings
Good luck with your choice!
I didn't know they could add a sweetheart neckline! I should ask my seamstress about that!
This thread probably isn't helping you at all with all the different opinions, but I'm going to post anyway and add to your confusion with another vote for #2. Both look great on you, but #2 is more elegant and unique, and the pleatings are very cool. It seems much more suited to a Mexico wedding, maybe because Mexico has a rich history in embroidery and beadwork but not so much in lace.
I vote #1! Dress #2 seems like it will show every crease (even after you have it altered, those creases around your hips from when you sit down are still going to show up), whereas dress #1 fits wonderfully and will stay immaculate looking all day.
i like Dress 1 more. although Dress 2 is stunning on you, i would be concerned with wrinkles. in the pic you can see creases where it looks like they would form when you sat down. unless you could manage to stand the entire time after you put on your dress, i dont think you can avoid those lap wrinkles.
they really are obvious.
actually, at 2nd glance, perhaps those wrinkles are bc the dress is pinned in the back and does not fit you properly.
if thats the case, i'd pick 2.
Both are beautiful dresses . . . but I vote for dress 1. You look amazing!
Love both of them- but #1 is a more of a "WOW" dress. So if it was me- i'd go #1
I vote for #2-- I feel like I've seen #1 on tons of brides, but #2 is more unique and has a romantic, old-world feel to it.
I vote #2!
I'm a sucker for lace dresses, but I you make the 2nd dress look so awesome!
I vote #2. That shot of the back of the dress is awesome. Once altered it will be so flattering on you!
I'm wearing pleats, so I'm partial to #2. =) #1 is a little more mainstream.

Bees, I would really appreciate your input on which dress you like better! Both are really comfortable; the lace one is a little bit heavier but not unbearable. Do you like/not like the pleatings? Thanks for your help!
