maybe add a poll! I love the Reem Acra Goddess! I think the neckline and bodice is beautiful and the sleeves are gorgeous as well. Would you wear a veil? Do you have any pictures of you in either dress? Which one do you feel more comfortable in?
@kcweddinggirl: Difficult question regarding the veil, I was putting that off until after choosing the dress (maybe not the most logical, but it helps to take it one step at a time). I would like to have a floor length veil, since I'm pretty tall and the dress doesn't have a train, but I wouldn't want to distract from the back of the dress - it is exactly as the front with the deep V and beadwork.
Thanks for the suggestion on the poll!
@natylka: I guess I'll put my two cents in and I personally don't like how the model is wearing it. Understandable and smart taking it one thing at a time. Can't wait to hear what YOUR decision is :)
Aspen is one of my favorite dresses, and I think it'd be perfect for June. Personally, I would feel that the Goddess dress is too flashy in the "dress wearing you, not you wearing the dress" kind of way. But, if you can pull it off and prefer it- go for it! They are both beautiful.
Op, can you add some photos of you in the dresses? Is your wedding black tie or more casual? What's the venue? I'm a Packham bride so I'm partial to her dresses but the Reem is gorgeous and if you're doing an evening ballroom wedding, I much prefer it over the Packham.
I love JP, and especially the Willow dress - your Aspen is very close to that so it has my vote.
Can't wait to find out what you pick! :)
I voted for the Reem-goddess. But what's most important is how you feel in the dress. Did one dress feel better when you tried them on?
For the record, I don't think you'll go wrong with either one.
It's very tough without seeing you IN the dresses. Those dresses could look amazing or terrible depending on the body type. the JP would look better on a girl with a curvy figure than the Reem would. I think the Reem would just flair out over any kind of chest and make the wearer look large around the middle.
Yup I can't give my opinion without seeing you in the dress. I love both but who knows which will look better on you.
OMG that Jenny Packham is to DIE for. I'd kill to be able to afford that dress!
@mjoyelle: The price is definitely part of what makes it so difficult. It has to be 'the one'!
@natylka: oooooo fun for us to choose between these tow dresses. I think the Reem one. Love both of them, though.
They are both gorgeous! I like your taste. Can you give more details about where you'll be getting married, reception venue, time of reception, formality, etc? That will influence things a lot.
I've seen the jenny packham on 2 brides on FB, and they both looked INCREDIBLE! :)
Thanks everyone for so many great comments!
We are having a church ceremony, which will be somewhat formal, but the church is small, Gothic style: (trust me, it looks much better in proper lighting!)

Whereas the reception will be on an old estate that is more English garden/tudor style:

The JP is more close-fitting at the hips and down which I like, but the Reem is actually much more flattering around the waist. I'm pretty straight up and down, not too curvy.
They were both equally comfortable.... it's so close!
JP:
- I like the train
- Perhaps a slight edge in fitting the venue
Reem:
- I felt a bit less self-conscious
Thanks again for all of your input!
@pengoala: Can you copy any of the pics of the JP brides and post them (or send them to me)? I would love to see pics of "real brides"!
Normally I am a RA fan, but I really like the Packham better. It's a much more feminine shape, IMO.
I like the first one more (Aspen). I think it's more flattering on the top and reminds me of Goddness more than the second one.
#1. The Reem Acra is gorgeous but more black tie and modern. When I saw the Packham, I thought it would be perfect for an English countryside wedding...which is what it looks like you're having!
If you're worried about the fit and your slim figure, remember that the Duchess of Cambridge pulled it off and she's very straight up-and-down.

@natylka: OOh! Tough Choice!
I absolutely LOVE LOVE the Aspen! Everytime I see it my heart beats faster and it was a serious serious inspiration for the dress I am designing!
But that second one! I have never seen it before! It looks beautiful! Do you know what the back looks like?! I am a sucker for interesting backs and the Aspen is beautiful with its bow and buttons!
I prefer the first one but it's hard to say without seeing them both on you.
@natylka: I have to see the back of the Reem Acra to decide! I tried to check online but typing goddess with Reem Acra brings up like every dress!
@justjade: and the rest of the wonderful bees who have been commenting: Here is a pic of the back. It's virtually identical to the front, with the same pattern, just over a larger area.
The Aspen was my original favorite, but that may just be due to the fact that I saw it earlier. The Reem Acra is Fall 2013.

Personally, I like the Aspen dress better. It feels more romantic and will play well with both the gothic edge of the ceremony location as well as a classic elegance feeling with the English garden feeling of the reception. So, I cast my vote for the first. And everyone will think you are beautiful, especial the FH, in either!
@natylka: Oh My! I think I am going to vote 2! I love bateau necklines! I really think either way you cannot go wrong!
Have you had the chance to try either of them on?
Personally, I like the Aspen dress better. It feels more romantic and will play well with both the gothic edge of the ceremony location as well as a classic elegance feeling with the English garden style of the reception.
Another vote for the Aspen. Both gowns are beautiful, but I feel the Aspen is a more classic wedding gown, and also more suited to your venue. It's such a romantic gown, and would look both timeless and modern 50 years from now.
Also - this depends on your body shape - I just imagine the Aspen would be universally flattering. The v-neck, the little lace cap sleeves - makes the waist look tiny and the silhouette slimmer. I would worry that the Reem Acra might be overwhelming on a normal height bride, and also the bateau neck with all the beading/embroidery would look bulky on anyone with much of a bust.
Hi! Which dress did you end up buying? I just bought the reem acra goddess for my October wedding. It's so gorgeous but a hard choice because the model looks so boxy in it, and I tried it on in a large sample size! Love your JP option too! I'm sure they will both look amazing!

Hi Bees,
Have fallen in love with two dresses, and need to make a final choice as I am at the very final cut-off for ordering for my June 1, 2013 wedding.
The contenders are both pricey and I'm not sure about the hefty price tags, so I'm looking for either some reassurance in addition to some opinions and comments.
1. Jenny Packham Aspen
2. Reem Acra Goddess
