I am only seeing the first Pronovias dress. It is gorgeous though!
Sorry, keep getting too excited and then I hit enter when I shouldn't
The second dress will also be accented with a vintage fur stole
I love love love the lace sleeves- but maybe I am biased (my dress was a custom made dress- I took a pic of Jackie O's dress and Grace Kelly's dress and was like "combine them")
I just TRULY love the look of the first one. the second one is fabulous and glamorous... don't get me wrong, but I am one of those girls who thinks a wedding dress should be a big, white, fancy affair.
Could you afford both and wear the second one at the reception?
I voted for the second dress only because of the fact that your wedding is in February and I think that fur stole would be soooo glamorous. The first dress is beautiful, too.
Well, it's hard when we can't see them on you... but if by your description you are going for "Old Hollywood Glam", then I would go with the second dress. The Pronovias definitely doesn't capture that vibe... It's more as you said Grace Kelly formal Catholic wedding...
They are both beautiful dresses. What are your feelings about the two of them?
depends! If you are fit, i'd say the 2nd one.. the way it hits the waist would be less forgiving if that were a problem spot. But it's definitely my favorite of the two, especially w/ the glam stole.
lol. No. And price isn't even a tie breaker, they are pretty similar is price the Pronovias being slightly cheaper
also for the second dress. I would wear a cathedral veil with a blusher. Ala this:

i love the strapless one with the cross tie thingy (ok dress description is NOT my forte!).. is that the silver screen starlet? totally glam!
And the stole for the reception. The veil and the stole together might be overkill! lol.
Well, they both look great on me. I tried the second dress on at Warren Barron's in Dallas (one of the upscale boutiques that you feel like you have to whisper because you might disturb the dresses sort of thing) and it was amazing on. But I always thought I would be a lacy bride. When I showed the Elizabeth Fillmore to a friend, she mentioned that she always thought I would be a lace sort of girl.
From what you described the theme of your wedding to be, I think the second dress captures it more! Both are very pretty (I would be tempted to say I like the first one better, but for the theme...perhaps not)!
if you can rock it, I say the second one! the first one is more traditional, doesn't really seem Hollywood Glam to me, although it is very pretty!
The first one looks like the Grace Kelly dress. I think Maggie Sottero just came out with a Grace Kelly dress. I like them both. I think for the winter theme the second one is best with the fur stole. But for a Catherdal wedding with the Hollywood inspire the first one. I think it depends on your venue and other touches.
I totally love the Grace Kelly dress. But the second one is nice too, and goes much better with your theme. Grace Kelly didn't get married in Hollywood. ;)
I don't know which is which, but I totally vote for the simple classis, non-lacey one!
I have to go with Grace Kelley. She's my all time favorite princess and movie star rolled into one. That dress is just so classic. You could make it a bit mor hollywood with varying lengths of pearls dripping at the neck and a matching pearl (multiple strands) bracelet.
I prefer the Grace Kelly because it is timeless (and anything by Pronovias is beautiful). But if it is Hollywood Glam you want, then the 2nd dress would definitely fit the bill.
awww... thanks ladies. I have to make a decision by the end of this weekend.
*sigh* crunch time.
I actually like the first one better but from what you've said, it sounds like the 2nd one best fits the theme and if both look good on you, it's a beautiful dress as well!
Are you going vintage glam? If so, the 1st dress (lace) screams vintage to me. (What veil would you do with the 1st??) If you are going for glossy glam, then the 2nd is the best.
I'm not a lace girl, but I think the 1st one is more unique and classic (aka: hollywood).
I am a pronovias slut, so of course either 1 or 2. I'm also a sleeve snob, too many sleeveless dresses these days-be different ->2.
definitely, without even a tiny doubt...dress #2!!! my god, that dress is AMAZING!
I love both dresses, so it's entirely up to what you feel happier in and what fits your wedding style more. They are both so gorgeous - I love the lace sleeves and the slinkyness of the second... Hard decision!
Thats a tough one there both gorgeous but I am drawn to the second one better- you should post pics of yourself in both dresses so it would be easier..but just off the pictures and your theme I would say the second one..its beautiful
The first dress to me can be made even more glamorous and as I said earlier, it's all in how you accessorize it. It has enough oomph to be both glamorous and vintage.
I voted for the second dress because THAT IS MY DRESS TOO!
So svelte, so glamorous. It's beautiful.
Both dresses are gorgeous! I voted for silver screen starlet because if you have the body to rock that dress, you should do it!

Let me preface this with the fact that I am generally decisive.
The wedding is old Hollywood Glam. The colors are Navy and the palest of pinks. It's a winter wedding (in texas, which just doesn't mean much but oh well). So I have to decide (so... hard, I know. What a horrible situation to be in) between these two dresses. Grace Kelly dress? Or silver screen starlet?
