Bees! I’m stuck here. I bought my wedding dress a few months ago, and although I’m in love with it, I’ve recently realized how uncomfortable I am wearing a strapless dress. The dress needs some alterations, and I plan on having straps added to it. A friend is doing this for me and will only be charging $150 for alterations, straps, and to bustle the train.
On the other hand, I’ve fallen in love with a second dress that is only $90 and would make a beautiful reception dress. That got me thinking – maybe I can just deal with the whole “strapless” thing for the ceremony and not get the train bustled… and I can change into the second dress for the reception.
SECOND DRESS (would be made without the train – it would be floor length):
I don’t know why I’m having dress regret! Help!

Since the second one is only $90. just use one for cermony and one for reception so than you can enjoy both of them:) They are both beautiful and then it won’t seem like you wasted any money with the first one.

I love the decond one.
I never understood the point of two dresses. I love my dress so much I couldnt imagine wearing it for only half of the day!

I really love the first dress. I think a gold bolero could fix all your issues and would be super cute 🙂

I think if you really want, you can purchase the second one too and decide which one you love more once you get it, you can wear both, i see no problems.

The second dress is only $90 ???? Where did you find that

I voted the 2nd dress, it’s amazing. I also agree w/the above post, wearing two formal dresses seems like overkill to me… but if the 2nd dress is what you LOVE, and it’s only $90, order it and maybe you can sell the 1st one on recycle bride, oncewed or the classifieds here. They are both beautiful dresses. PS where did you find the 2nd one for $90, that is a great deal!!

@nativedesires: I found it on ebay! I’ve actually had a good experience buying a dress from ebay, and for $90 with free shipping, I feel like I don’t have much to lose. 🙂

I say go for both. The price is so reasonable how can you not??? And they both have the same pretty lace detail so I’m sure it would keep the same “feeling” for the overall look.
Plus I’m also not sure how lace looks bustled… it may be pretty but I’ve just not seen that done.
