Help me decide which dress to wear on our wedding day! The first one has been photoshopped to include a sweetheart neckline because that is what I will have done to it if I wear it. I wish I could merge the mermaid silouette of the first dress with the top of the second dress! Oh well!
Dress 1: Mermaid Dress
Dress 2: Ruched Dress

Both are beautiful, but i voted for #2 only because i prefer dresses that don’t have those seems running down the front of the skirt. But #1 is lovely on you too! Can’t go wrong!!

I’m diggin’ #2. I think the top and waist are more flattering 🙂

Definitely #2! It’s beautiful on you!

I agree with you – the top of number 2 and the silhouette of the mermaid are both fantastic! I don’t like the visible structure thing going on with number 1 and I think the bottom of 2 is less flattering than the mermaid is on you. Sorry that is so unhelpful! I didn’t vote.

I’m not crazy about the ruching, but I think dress 1 is beautiful.

I love number 1 on you best!

I personally love #2 on you – but I am wondering if you couldn’t find a dress with a similar top, but with a simpler mermaid style bottom?? You are right – if you could morph them together they would be perfect. There has to be a dress out there with those two qualities..
PS – just want to say it’s a hard decision because really they both look fantastic on you!

@CherryHills Unfortunately it’s a bit complicated! I’ve already bought both dresses! My fiance and I recently (like a week ago) decided to change our wedding date from July of next year to October of this year! That left me with 4 months to find a dress and plan the wedding. I left the first dress shop I went to feeling completely discouraged by my time frame. Then, I went to a second shop and bought Dress #1 because it could be ready in a month, and I thought I could get the top altered to a bustier type style if the right lines were put in. I spoke to a seamstress who said it was impossible to do that, but with bra cups and a sweetheart neckline, it might lie flatter and look more like what I wanted. I should also mention, the first dress was only $300.
The next day I went to a third dress shop and bought the Dress #2 after being very pressured into it. The saleswoman told me I had to order right away in order to get it without having to pay rush fees. I figured since the first dress was so cheap, it was okay, but now I am having doubts about the second dress, which was much more expensive. I already have a deposit down on it and I’ve paid in full for Dress #1. Combined, they are still within my budget, but I can’t go out and get a third – that’s for sure! One more option is to try to hem Dress #2 so it fits closer to my body on the hips. Right now it is a modified A-line, however it’s never going to be quite a mermaid or full on the bottom like the first dress.
@LilDrAnya – it’s Mikaella – I might have one to sell after all this – haha!

the sweetheart is a little odd on #1 (I know it was photoshopped- but it just doesnt seem to go with the dress). LOVE #2.
