Sorry if you see this STD floating around twice! I was first wondering whether the ebellishment itself should be gold like the date. I’m now wondering which embellishment you think looks better! If it helps, these will be printed on ecru paper with letterpress. Only the date (and maybe the embellishment) will be in gold. Everything else will be in black.
Thanks everyone for all of your help/feedback!

I like the first one. It matches the numbers better and looks more formal to me

MrsN14: Thanks! That’s so helpful because that’s definitely what we were going for!

crackktheskyy: me again 🙂 lol i like the second one. the first one i now see the emblishment is almost the same style as the font type that your names are in. the second one breaks it up a lot more cleaner. and plus its the same thickness as the date so it gives it more of a visual balance. i still say keep it in black though. PLUS the extra gold would end up costing more. an unnecessary expense for something (i think) you won’t need

ScubaSiren: Thanks for popping into my threads 😉 You’re so helpful!
I DEFINITELY think I’m going to take your advice about not doing the embellishment in gold. You’re so right about that! I’m a little conflicted over which embellishment to use, though! As you mentioned, I love that the second embelishment does more by way of beaking up the text. BUT I also love that the first one is a little more formal looking, and I think that with letterpress it would look so delicate and pretty. It’s a tough call!
