We’re having a photobooth at our wedding, so of course one of our props is going to be fake mustaches. In looking online I’ve found some great DIY options but I can’t decide on the style I want.
Martha Stewart has a great tutorial for making realistic mustaches on a stick from fake fur. They’re fun and they look like ‘real’ fake mustaches.
I was all set to make them until I saw these Smitten Sticks! They’re also really cute and fun, and they seem a bit more whimsical. Plus, I could totally make them myself.
Now I can’t decide which one’s I want to make. What do you guys think? [attachment=589887,77104] [attachment=589887,77105]

I like the whimsical ones! 🙂

Why don’t you do both? Then your guests can decide which one they want to go with. both are fun!

I think the fur ones are funnier. But the whimsical mustaches and smiles are super cute too. Maybe you can do both?

We did realistic(ish) on a stick, made with felt instead of fake fur. I think the whole thing cost about $4.00, for about 25 mustaches. I vote for those! We also made some out of chocolate with molds, and people went nuts for those too.

@laylabelle – I love the felt, I may do that instead of the fake fur. And those chocolate ones, too cute! Thanks for the pics!

@chexmix – You’re welcome! I got the tutorial (and templates) from Lisa Welge’s blog and the chocolate mustache molds from Bake it Pretty.
