I would opt more toward the smores but I would only do the favor or the pit but not both. I know of all the people I know, not many like caramel apples. I know even I love them but they are very hard on my teeth. If you have any guests over 30, some might have a lot of dental work that they may not be able to enjoy them/eat them. Something to consider.

Do you have another choice for favor if you still keep the pit?

SkinnyLatte17:  I say the smores since you going to have a fire pit. Not everyone like caramel apple.

That is a lot of sweets. If you do the dessert bar, just put a dessert take home bag with a thank you note/help yourself to dessert bar at each setting maybe?

Agree with MrsTtoB….the kits are adorable! But having a pit with smores stuff AND a kit would be kinda pointless.  But I do love them! And I also love caramel apples, though they can be really messy and a pain to eat.  I think the dessert bar with goodies plus the stuff you can use at the pit would be cool Maybe??! 🙂

Apples! I saw you are having a fall wedding, and to me that screams caramel apples!

SkinnyLatte17:  I love s’mores but I like the carmel apples as favors just because they’re ready to go and don’t require assembling or heat. Maybe you could do a couple different types (like candy apples as well).

As a person who hates biting into whole apples and a vegetarian, these options aren’t too appealing to me. If the apples were pre-cut into slices I would take 100 of them in a heart beat. But vegetarians don’t eat marshmallows. I could just eat the crackers and chocolate though 😉

SkinnyLatte17:  The only thing that worries me with the smores kit is that even though it’s super cute, if people don’t eat them within the day, the graham crackers will probably get soft from being packed with the marshmallows. Then they might be disappointed when they actually go to make them.

Maybe you could do the fire pit smores thing, but put the kit with the ingredients at the tables so people can just make them that night? I feel like people usually eat edible favors right away anyway, so there’s really no difference.
