I am going for a romantic/vintage wedding that will be held in a church, with a fancy banquet center reception, and I am having a hard time choosing between peonies and roses for my bridesmaids bouquets. they will be cream/white.

What about a mix of both? Either some BMs have peonies or roses (maybe peony roses or Jude the obscure) for a slight variation or the bouquets are mixed. Did you have any types of roses in mind?

What about cabbage roses? They look like peonies , but last year round and are cheaper. They come in a lot of colors. A mix of both would be pretty or with some baby breath and hydrangeas. I’m having a similiar style wedding and consider these flowers for it.

We wanted peonies, for an Aug. 31st wedding, because we love the smell and look. The florist said they were out of season, and would cost $35 a stem. We found a less pricey alternative.

Thank you! I think I will do a mix of both, and look into those cabbage roses. I didn’t have any kinds in mind, I just wanted ones that were open. Thanks for all of your advice 🙂
