So I’m debating what to get my bridesmaids and I’ve narroed it down to 2 choices:
1) small coach wristlet (6″ length and 4″ width)
2) their shoes (only $20), less expensive and larger wristlet, ball of foot insoles, blotting papers, Victoria’s Secret lip gloss, and lotion.
The second package is about $5 more. Which would you rather have? Is the Coach wristlet too small to be practical?

My sister gave us a Coach Wristlet for her BM gift… it was OK, I use it occasionally, but you’d have to make sure you picked a style that each girl would like and be able to use.
The second gift option seems nice, I’d again make sure to pick a wristlet and lip gloss color and lotion scent that each girl would like.

I love the shoe insoles. Do you mind if I steal it?

@futureMcBride- of course I don’t mind!

are they the type of girls who would use a wristlet? I know most of my friends have big ol’ handbags so for me a wristlet would be out.

I voted for practical stuff, but instead of all the blotting papers insoles, writstlet, etc., buy them all something individually. I usually have my own blotting papers, and I have a nice little collection of clutches, and I’m really particular about everything else. I think it would be great to purchase their shoes, and then maybe get them all gift cards to their favorite stores or a mani/pedi gift certificate or something. Include a personalized and heartfelt note to each girl and you’re good to go!

I really like the idea of the practical gifts. I love the Coach wristlet, but as far as usage goes, the practical gifts are probably going to be better.

I voted for the coach wristlet because a lot of girls have their “favorite” types of beauty products (for example the lip gloss and lotion).
I would suggest a modified version of #2.
Do you have pics you can post of either wristlet?

@missbrenton- for some reason, the pics that I saved are just coming up black…
as far as the lipgloss, lotion, etc. I would be buying lip plumping vs gloss, which all my girls love, and lotion in scents I know they like.
I think I need to see the coach clutch in person… my girls and I always bring cute clutches out with us, but it needs to have room for a phone, camera, gum, and lipgloss! Also, an inner zip pocket for ID and money 🙂

I was anti the Coach wristlets, but then I found them for a really great price, and after getting so many compliments about my own wristlet, I ended up getting them each one. I think it’s great for a night out, it can hold a license, bank card & some cash. I paid about $32 a piece for them and will give it to them along with flip flops, a pashmina & a gift card to get their nails done.

@LadyGoodman:where did you find them for $32?!

I like the idea of the practical gifts but then again I have a Coach wristlet so maybe that is getting in the way of my judgement. I just think little baskets with the shoes as the centerpiece and the other stuff all around sounds so fun. I love assorted gifts. 🙂 Plus, I am always thinking of photo ops for the wedding day.

I went to a Coach outlet and they were on sale for $39, plus an additional 20% and since it was in Delaware, no tax . . . did I do that math right? Hahaha! My fiance actually paid for them for me. I made it up to him by paying for a pair of $81 shoes for him . . . so, I guess I paid $81 for them 🙂
The main reason I was against them is because none of my girls are into name brands, but I managed to get solid leather wristlets, no C’s all over them, which is a good thing. I got 2 black, 1 tan & one coral.

Coach outlet regularly has reallly good prices on their wristlets, I almost picked I saw a little purple, brown or tan leather one for $19 once. They sometimes have nice little going out bags for about $50 also – that would fit cash & cards, camera, phone, keys, and a few misc items for a night out.

My vote would be for the coach wristlet…but I’m biased because I just bought one and love it 🙂 And I found it at the coach outlet for $19, amazing deal! I wouldn’t vote to spend full price on one though, that’s too expensive for a tiny wristlet.
