As much as Rose was always my favorite, I probably have the same type personality as Dorothy although I don't resemble her physically at all. Physically though Rose always reminded me of my grandmother which is probably why I loved her so much (although my grandma was not that dim-witted). I do love all of them though!
i love the golden girls... they're fun, sophisticated, united-- i hope my friends and i can be as happy go lucky as they are on the show when we get old
recently, i found out that Blanch passed away, and Dorothy did too - i was very sad to hear that the 80s show icons are really aging. thankfully rose is still alive and on various movies, i will be sure to support her movie apprearances!
LOL, wanted to add that I have a gay guy friend who secretly admitted he wants to be just like Blanche! Her face is his FB profile pic.
I love that show! I am definitely Sophia...short and sarcastic. :)
I'm definitely Sophia. Sarcastic, dry, sharp-tongued, feisty. Yep. Totally me.
Oh man its been FOREVER since I've seen that show but I used to watch it with my grandma all the time :) I think I'm a mix of Dorothy and Sophia. If I remember correctly Dorothy was kind of the practical one of the group, and Sophia was a huge smart-ass.
I guess I would be a mix of Dorothy/Rose.
I totally love Golden Girls and I have a bunch of the DVDs! I only have one friend who likes the show as much as I do, we share DVDs sometimes. :)
Haha, this is funny. When I was in junior high, me and my two best friends were nicknamed Golden Girls by others. We had a tomboyish Dorothy, a gullible Rose and me the coquettish Blanche :) We hated it but kinda knew it was true at the same time. Of course I didn't have her promiscous trait, I was only 13 and didn't even know how to talk to a boy. I was always trying to dress up and look cute and dying to grow up so I could finally get noticed by boys though.
I love the Golden Girls too! I wish I were Blanche, but I am much more Dorothy. They were all awesome in their own way!

After reading another thread today I was reminded how much I love "The Golden Girls." My friends and I would watch episodes all the time in college, and we were always comparing ourselves to the characters.
I am Sophia all the way. We have the exact same dry sense of humor and cutting sarcasm.
My BF is Rose, dingy and innocent.
My other pal is a dead ringer for Blanche because she's uh, kind of promiscuous and proud of her tatas!
Another friend is Dorothy, kind of resembles her physically and has a similar quick wit.
Have fun!!!!
