Im having trouble picking what hairdo I want to do. I got these 3 options. Either all down, partial, or low updo. i’m planning on doing a strapless either ball gown or aline dress and my wedding is next april so in WI who knows if there will be snow or sun or rain. lol
My next issue is I cant decide if i want to use a tiara or a comb. Either way i will have a veil too. these are the tiara and comb i have.
So please help me pic a hairstyle and which accessory with it!

I’m not a big fan of tiaras in general, I just don’t think they really work on grown women. Combs are a great touch though, and I think a low updo with a comb is a great choice. That’s what I did!

What kind of dress are you wearing? I like hair down or partial with strapless styles, and maybe hair up if you have sleeves or higher necklines.

You need to pick out your dress and then do the hair. Do a wedding hair trial with your stylistbefore and they will help you decide what is the best look for you

Im still trying to decide between 2 dresses. im kinda leaning more towards the second tho.

With the second dress, you could do any hairstyle. I’m not a fan of the tiara though, particularly with the ballgown – the overall effect is a bit too princessy IMO. I think a bejewelled comb, or side tiara, or even more of a wreath-style headpiece, would be better. Do you usually prefer your hair down? Up? Will you wear a veil? I think you do need to decide on your dress and accessories before getting to the hair.

peonyinparis: I think im going for the second one. I have a veil ill be wearing. i dont have a preference to up or down but i think for a big gown like that up would be better. and i agree on the tiara. i want to look like a bride not a prom queen

jsloops: If you go with that updo, I think you should use a longer hairpiece. I had one that was similar in size/shape, and I thought that the larger piece (it was maybe 6 inches?) balanced it out well. I think the piece you have might get lost in the style you want.

I’m a fan of half up hair.
I think tiaras are somewhat juvenile, so I’m not a fan of them on grown women. Unless of course, you’re Miss America.
I like the second dress better than the first. The first with the big blue stripe down the back screams 90s to me. But both are very different shapes and I think you need to see them on your body before deciding.

Im going with the second dress for sure. Thanks for the suggestion of the bigger comb. The one i have i think is like 4″. idk if im a big fan of it and it was cheap on ebay anyway so i think i might find a different one thats bigger.
