I’m not a big fan of tiaras in general, I just don’t think they really work on grown women. Combs are a great touch though, and I think a low updo with a comb is a great choice. That’s what I did!

What kind of dress are you wearing? I like hair down or partial with strapless styles, and maybe hair up if you have sleeves or higher necklines.

You need to pick out your dress and then do the hair. Do a wedding hair trial with your stylistbefore and they will help you decide what is the best look for you

With the second dress, you could do any hairstyle. I’m not a fan of the tiara though, particularly with the ballgown – the overall effect is a bit too princessy IMO. I think a bejewelled comb, or side tiara, or even more of a wreath-style headpiece, would be better. Do you usually prefer your hair down? Up? Will you wear a veil? I think you do need to decide on your dress and accessories before getting to the hair.

jsloops:  If you go with that updo, I think you should use a longer hairpiece. I had one that was similar in size/shape, and I thought that the larger piece (it was maybe 6 inches?) balanced it out well. I think the piece you have might get lost in the style you want.

I’m a fan of half up hair.

I think tiaras are somewhat juvenile, so I’m not a fan of them on grown women. Unless of course, you’re Miss America.

I like the second dress better than the first. The first with the big blue stripe down the back screams 90s to me. But both are very different shapes and I think you need to see them on your body before deciding.
