I personally am not crazy about updos so I chose half up half down! =)
Either would look nice but I think the updo looks a little more formal so I voted for #2.
Any more shares and/or opinions?! - Shoot I meant to *Bump* my post, I apologize!
@CupCakeMeg: I am on the same page as you! But I think both would look good with this dress, even though I prefer the half do.
I think a dramatic ballgown like this really demands an updo for extra elegance and regality, so I voted #2!
DRESS TWIN!!!
I wore my hair down and curly for my wedding becauase that's how I felt most comfortable.
But I think an updo would look equally good so I don't think that you can really go wrong.
My advice is to wear it how you feel most comfortable and most like "you".
Here's how I wore mine:
I Love the updo style that you posted - the low bun is gorgeous. Are you wearing a veil?
Another Dress Twin! :)
I voted half up half down, but I am biased, as I am wearing my hair like this:

I'm a HUGE advocate for wearing your hair up. I don't know about you, but I get hot pretty easily, and at our wedding (in November in New England, mind you) I got SUPER sweaty from dancing and carrying around my huge ballgown all night. Having my hair up really helped, actually.
I went to 2 weddings last year where the bride had half up hair, and by the middle of the reception they had thrown it up into a bun.
That's just my opinion, plus I feel like you can wear your hair down any day, a fancy updo is really more special.
@gettingmarried2012: Yours is exactly how I would want mine to look if I did the half up style.
@gettingmarried2012: do u have a picture of the back of your head. that sounds funny but i wanna see how the back is pinned
@asianyoushi: Sorry, should have pointed out, thats not me in the picture! I dont know who it is or where i found it, so I don't have a back shot, sory!
@gettingmarried2012: o darn. oh well my hunt continues for wedding hair
I think that dress needs an updo.

I'm trying to decide between a half updo or a low bun for my wedding day hairstyle. I have included pictures of my dress and the two hairstyles I'm thinking about below. Let me know what you think.
