Sitting at 20 weeks pregnant over here and these 20 weeks have been sooooo slow! We had to do IVF to get pregnant and I’ve definitely spent this pregnancy non-stop anxious and worried so far so maybe that’s contributing to the snail’s pace. I’m really hoping things start to “speed up!” I can’t wait to have that baby girl in my arms (and I also can’t wait to have a huge belly!).
So did pregnancy speed up for you after the halfway point? Or did it go quicker the first half for you?
Please share! 🙂

I voted second half but now that I think about it, the first half seemed slower. More anxiety, waiting for my belly to start showing, waiting to learn the sex of the baby. Waiting waiting waiting! But the first half is technically shorter since you’re considered 4 weeks along right when you get a positive test
The second half was tough towards the end since I was uncomfortable and felt huge. I delivered at 37+6 so I was lucky to skip those last couple weeks of torture 😉
good luck to you!

Just 36-40 weeks should count as like 5 semesters.
I was really happy to be induced at 39…

First half definitely seemed slower, but I think that’s because of all the anxiety. I had surgery when I was 7 weeks pregnant or so, then developed SCH after the surgery. Everything felt so touch and go and each week seemed like a huge hurdle that it was just sooo slow. I hardly remember anything from the second half, and felt like it went quickly.

Westwood : this! I’m 37+2 and this last part is draaagging. Idk how I’ll make it to the probable 41+ weeks. Torture!
I had a super easy first trimester – no puking etc. so it kind of flew by up until ~28 weeks. This last trimester is dragging and I’m actually way more anxious now than I was at first.

hollyberry4 : I’m 36+3 right now and I think the first half was slower because of all of the worrying, but I feel like it’s all gone by kind of fast. For me, the slowest was probably right up until 18- 20 weeks. I’ve had a relatively easy pregnancy right from the beginning and I’m still feeling great so that may contribute to why I’m feeling like it’s going by quicker. I’m not really doing anything different than normal so my days go by fast. My advice is to stay active for as long as possiible and eat healthy.

second half was so much faster!!!

With my first, everything seemed to take forever. I guess it was more that the second trimester seemed fastest. With my second, the entire pregnancy zoomed by!

Almost 30 weeks here. Tired of this already lol… Felt like up to 20 weeks flew past and then 20-29 was so slow. Have a feeling that the next 10 are going to also go by equally as slow. I think the reason the first 20 weeks went by so quickly was because nothing really changed for me, except for having to stop drinking. I was wearing my normal clothes, doing most of my regular workouts, and could bend down properly. Now everything has changed!

The first half was SOOO much faster. I was pregnant all summer and each day felt like an eternity.

mrscross1020 : oh no this is what I’m afraid of too as I’ll be pregnant all summer! And I work in public schools so we will be on summer break. I know it will be nice to not be working but it may also make the days seem longer! I guess we will see!
carolinabelle : I hope it starts to speed up for you!

The first half of my pregnancy flew by. We didn’t tell anyone until around 16 weeks, so it didn’t “feel real” yet. I’m at 32 weeks now and getting bigger by the day. I’m ready to give birth yesterday! So the second half definitely feels slower to me.

I am one of those women who does not enjoy being pregnant so the entire thing has gone by soooo slowwwwwly for me. I will say weeks 33-37ish went by quickly for some reason, probably be ause I put off doing a lot of stuff I needed to do and suddenly had to rush to get it done, and here I find myself with just over two weeks to go. Have a feeling the next few will go by slowly again too.. especially if I go to 42 *shudder*

First half was wayyyy slower for me the first time. You are just so tired. The rest of the pregnancy was smooth sailing (minus going overdue and the labour part lol). I’m 15w now and soooo happy to be done the first tri!!

I’m 24+4 and the weeks are flying! First trimester and a bit went very slowly. We told friends at 13 weeks and my OB appointment wasn’t until 20+5 so the days were crawling.
Next week I am going to start ‘nesting’ projects.
Hope your feeling well hollyberry4 : ! So happy for you! 🙂
