I've always liked the thumb print tree idea. I'm a very outdoorsy girl so we considered that for a little while.
We used a photography coffee table book and had our guests sign by their favorite picture. My sister used a photo mat and had her guests sign it, then put a wedding picture behind it and framed it.
Similar to the framed poster, I really like signature frames. Although I may be a little biased because I am doing the signature frame at my wedding (with a photo of FI and I, not a poster).
Framed poster or a display dish with couples names/figure/date on it. I like guest "books" that can be displayed. I like the engagement picture or just regular photobook guest books too - I did one that told the story of our relationship from frist date to almost the wedding.

for the people that did the photo mat, was there enough room for everyone to sign and leave a message or was it just for signatures ??
We did 2 - the fingerprint tree and the photo guest book - and we loved them both!
We did the fingerprint tree. I love it and have it hanging on the dining room wall.
My favorite idea is a coffee table book of a shared interest or your honeymoon location. Have the guests sign just the inside cover or the pages themselves.
My favorite is the polaroid guestbook. I would love to have an image of all of my guests and then a nice note next to it :) Super cute!!
I'm debating between a couple of ideas. I like the puzzle pieces but my friend did that for her wedding. I also like the wedding fingerprint trees but I see that at a lot of weddings. And there is a new one that I am considering that I haven't seen but would definitely look good on our wall after it's done. I don't want to do the traditional book as I know I'll put it in a box and forget it in the closet. What do you guys think of this?
I love any guest book that can be beautifully displayed later. We're doing a signature platter (ordered from etsy) I have a slight obsession with pretty dishes/cake stands etc so its perfect for us I can't wait to find the perfect plate rack and hang it up
