During the work week I only wear lip balm, but when I go out I always either wear a peachy/pinky lip gloss (MAC) or I wear a bold color, like Revlon’s Fire and Ice or Maybelline’s Fucshia Fever.
I love Revlon’s lipsticks and I also like the matte ones from MAC. But is there a better option out there, or maybe a color that is more bridal? I feel like a gloss will just get all over my hair and be sticky, and I don’t want to wear a really bold color because you have to keep checking to make sure it hasn’t smudged all day.

I am curious about this too – I am having my trial run soon and I’m anxious to see what my makeup artist suggests. I hate the sticky feeling of lip gloss. I wear MAC lipstick regularly in Frou, but I think it’s too light and frosty for the big day.

I really like Makeup Forever’s line called Rouge Artist Natural (they also have Rouge Artist Intense, but I’m not as much a fan). My favorite color is called Powdery Pink, it’s great for a shimmery, natural look.

I wore Nars lipstick in Damage – a “sheer muted grape.” It wore really well, kept my lips moisturized, and wasn’t sticky.
I found a review with pics here: http://www.temptalia.com/nars-damage-lipstick-review-photos-swatches

I love that temptalia site! I read in another thread that MAC’s pro longwear is good, and that the shade Sweet Ever After looks good on many skin tones, so I’m curious to go try it on at the MAC counter….
MAC Pro Longwear Lipcreme (Part 2)
Any other lower priced ones? Something that is flattering to most skin tones and doesn’t rub off on everything.

I used MAC Viva Glam IV, great color payoff of course but I did have to reapply.

None! Lipstick and I do not get along and when I do pick out lipstick, it is always the same color of my lips! I will try to remember to weqr lip balm though!

Hmm, I don’t know about shades that are flattering to most skin tones, but I do also like Clinique’s chubby sticks. They are less expensive than the Nars lipstick I mentioned, but with a nice pop of non-sticky, lasting color.

Try ELFs lip stains…. They are only 3.00 each! I love the color fashionista! They stay put for hours 🙂

I wore MAC longwear. That stuff stays forever!

I can take some photos for you so you can see what they look like, if you’d like.
For a nude/natural lip, I love Chanel. I use Rouge Coco Shine (42, 46, 53) – it’s soft and a little shimmery but not overly shiny.
For a bright red lip, I love Dior. I use Rouge Dior in 762 and 766, the shades are more in the blue/red spectrum and feel very moisturizing.
I also really like YSL lip products, and out of all the lipsticks I’ve purchased for my mum over the years, her favorites have been from YSL. They have a nice range of products, I have some bright pinks, and my mum enjoys some light red and corals with shimmer. They feel really nice, moisturizing but not too wet or sticky (as some Dior lipsticks can be). I have to say though, I really loved Jessica Stam for Covergirl, I would totally wear any of those colors. I haven’t tried that line of lipsticks though (because I already own enough) so I can’t vouch for it.
