Going into wedding freakout mode and second guessing everything! I was looking through pictures and I can’t decide! The first look was done as my actual makeup trial for the wedding and is the artist I will be using. The second was done at MAC for my engagement shoot months ago…What I’m basically asking for is opinion on the color tones. Go for the bold lip? or do the more neutral browns and stuff? Way different lighting in the pics I know. Thanks for the help!

I have to say I love the 2nd one. I think the foundations too heavy in the first one. But to be honest you look gorgeous in both pics 🙂

@natbug21: I agree. The second look I think brings out more of your natural beauty.
OP, Can you post a pic of your dress? Maybe that will help people get the overall look you want to achieve.

I would need to see what type of dress you have, and really, what kind of personailty you have. Like, I think people would be shocked if I did something really natural, since I always wear bold makeup. Without seeing your dress [or knowing what your hair will be like], I’d have to say version one, but they both look really awesome. I think you’ll look great either way.

I like the eyes alot in the first photo & the foundation, blush & lip in the second photo! I would love the whole look in the second photo if your lashes was bolder!

I love the second, you’re glowing. I think the coverup and blush are done better in it too. Neutrals work well on you!

Thank you so much ladies. I do love the second more nautral look as well, but I think maybe the lighting in the pics have something to do with it? I just always envisioned myself with a bright lip…but after seeing the way the votes are now I’m not so sure. Here are some of my other details so you can get a better idea of my overall look…
Hair is similar to this…
As far as my personality I generally wear pretty neutral makeup, but for special occasions I’m not afraid of a little color.
I do agree that I like my foundation and blush more in the second pic. And funny thing the lashes in both pics are the same set…but we chopped them in half and just did the outer corners in that first look, I guess it is all about placement with those things lol!

i love the second look, and i think it would go with your hair and dress really well 🙂

are you going to have your hair up or down because i find in pic #1 the colour & light too harsh plus your hair is giving your face a black frame
i voted #2

@MamaMegs721: I think you look great in both pics, but I definitely like the second one more. You’re right, it could be the lighting that is more favorable to your complexion. I think you look more washed out in the first picture and although the lips are dramatic, it also looks almost too harsh. I would keep to the makeup scheme in the second picture, but you could go with a slightly darker lip and perhaps fake eyelashes to make your eyes pop more.

I think the 2nd pic’s makeup will compliment your dress and hair without being a bit too much, but if you wanted a bit of colour why not change lip colour for the evening reception? and good luck for next week

Another vote for the 2nd makeup. I like natural makeup.

Definitely the second! It looks perfect on you. Also, if your hair is like the pic you posted of Eva Longoria then it’ll be perfect! Her makeup is neutral-ish in that pic and looks amazing and so will yours. Btw – YAY March bride! So soon!

I prefer the second look as well, if you want a brighter lip, maybe go for more of a medium pink tone, rather than the raspberry or the nude. I love the eyes and the glowy effect your skin has in number two as well.
