We have decided to do a J.Crew dress so the girls can really wear it again...if they like our colors.

I am going to pick style of dress but in two diff colors.  If you went into JCrew what dress would you pick to wear again?

Dress A: only comes in one of my colors and I really wanted the Maid of honor to be in a diff color.  However, I just LOVE this dress.

    Or

Dress B: Comes in both the light Orange and the Coralish color of my wedding and also a nice dress.

Oh yeah and dress B is 1/2 the cost of dress A.

Both are really cute dresses!  I really like the first one (the bottom is to die for!) however, I typically shy away from strapless BM dresses.  I just really like the look of the BM's with straps.  I think though that having just your MOH (and I assume you) in strapless and all the other girls with dress B would look great.  Does the fabric match or at least look similar?

Just have the MOH wear one and the other BM's wear the other.

Dresses are the same type of fabric!  Would it make a diff that Dress A is 130 and Dress B is 60?  Is it wrong to ask the Maid of Honor to spend double of what the other girls will spend?

I love the idea of having the girls in the same color but different styles.

The 1st dress does look more special, but the 2nd might be easier for girls to wear (straps = bra w/ support for the larger chested gals, if you have any as BMs). And honestly, the girls probably won't wear them again... so the cheaper option might be nice for the other BMs

I loove the 1st dress. I almost bought it myself (in another color) for another wedding. I love the hot pink coral color too - it's so pretty & summery.

I know a few people who have worn dress #2 to weddings and they have all worn it again.

Would this color look ok with the color of Dress A?  We are doing a deeper Coral, Light Orange and a peachy color for small accents.  Or is this too Pink?

I am doing 1 style for all.  Probably a Melissa Sweet and not totally decided.

I like the 2nd style with the straps.  I think it's the silhouette that I prefer.

The second dress is super flattering on lots of body types. Several girls in my sorority had that dress (in various colors of course) in college and everyone looked great.

In regards to the pink dress with the first dress, I'd have to see it in person but judging from the online pictures, I'm not sure it works so well. However, flowers/hair styling/accessories make a world of a difference!

#2 for everyone, maybe the MOH can add a little sparkle belt under the bust to let it pop and make it noticed she is the MOH.

Both dresses are lovely - I voted for everyone in dress B in different colors.  I don't think you can go wrong either way though - you've got two really nice options.

I want to do a tea length dress that my bridesmaids could wear again as well.  I just found this dress yesterday and I love it!  I actually want one for myself!  The great thing is that there are dozens of colors.  I'm thinking about having my bridesmaids wear a a dress with matching sash and have my two maid of honors wear the same color dress but a different color sash.  Good luck!

I voted for Dress 2 in different colors (or the same if your groom wants everyone the same). The reasoning is the same as what @PinkPinStripes said... it's easier to wear and more universally flattering. Plus I think of the two choices, it is easier to re-use Dress 2.

I just was at a wedding with dress A as the bridesmaid dresses and I wasn't that impressed. Depends on your MOH body type, as all the maids in this wedding were tall or short and fairly skinny and it didn't do anything for them.
