- Wedding: June 2013
Hey ladies! I’ve been super busy planning for my wedding (I am so happy my wedding is in July!) and haven’t been around lately. 🙁 But today FI and I hit up a local liquor store for their AMAZING one day pre-4th sale! We live near a huge army base and they have a HUGE sale the day before the 4th (maybe to compete with the Class 6 and bring in soldiers?) and the place was PACKED! You could get anywhere from $10-$20 (sometimes MORE) off each bottle if you bought 2 or more, so of course it was a GREAT sale for us. The best deals were on the 1.75mL bottles, so we bought mainly those.
I’m pretty sure FI and I over-bought, but hey, it is better to have too much than too little right? In total we purchased nearly 40 liters of alcohol. We have enough liquor for every adult to have at least 3-4 liquor based beverages, but we also have 40 bottles of both red and white wine and 600 bottles of beer. So we’re good on the alochol part (champagne is not included because we’re only serving champagne during the toast), but we’ve no idea what to get MIXER wise. Could y’all help a Bee out and post the most commonly ordered drinks at a wedding? And if you’re feeling super helpful, post the amount of mixer needed to make the drink?
Maybe if I get a lot of suggestions I’ll make a poll and have people vote on their favorite drinks, then use that as a guide for how much to buy.
BTW…. We’ve had 175 people RSVP yes, so we’re going off an estimated 175 people. Thank Bees!
So here is our AMAZING list (I’ve added the total liters too)
4 Bottles of Patron Silver (750mL each) (3 liters)
2 Bottles of Malibu Rum (1.75mL each) (3.5 liters)
2 Bottles Captain Morgan Rum (1.7 mL each) (3.5 liters)
