I looooove the old cut one! The pinkish undertones are so pretty.

I prefer the older one with pink hue.  But I’m not a fan of warmer colored diamonds, so the whiter one will always be my choice.

Are these your only two choices? I think you could find something with a better cut.

@bacioilcielo:  the older cut with the pink hue is really pretty. The K colour one looks very yellowish green, but would look nice in the right setting.

In that case, I would go with the one that’s on your ring finger in the last picture — the one that looks more yellow. The other one looks to be an OEC, which I love, but it’s dark and looks out of round. The stone that looks more modern cut has more brightness to it.

I would go with the whiter stone. I often don’t mind a warmer stone, but the one in the pictures is too yellow, but not yellow enough to be a FLY, for me. The yellower stone might look nice in a yellow gold setting and basket, but for an ER, I’d go with the whiter stone.

The one in. The snowflake setting. The other is too yellow for my taste.

I like warm stones but that one seems very warm.  I’d go with the I.

I can’t really tell by these pictures but the snowflake one doesnt seem to have a good cut and the other one looks really yellow.  can you take it to a jeweler and ask their opinion?

@bacioilcielo:  I love that these are from your family. Nothing is more special than an heirloom, and I’d take an “imperfect” heirloom over a brand new with higher stats, honestly! That said, I voted for the one in the snowflake setting.
