MY BMs’ bouquets will be shades of dark purples (think amethyst and plum, NOT a reddish eggplant color) and bright reddish oranges with a little bit of lime accent. I had wanted the BMs to have dark purple dresses, but of course I fell in love with some BM dresses that only come in an eggplant purple, which has too much red in it and (a) I don’t like the color and (b) won’t look good with true purple flowers.
So — which of the colors below (which is the color palette of chiffon dresses offered) would look best with those flowers?

Can you post a picture of flowers that are similar in color to what you are envisioning?

Maybe a nuetral color dress would help showcase the dramatic color palette of your florals.
Shadow or Sage might be good
Pics of the flowers would be helpful.

Something along these lines, but with more orange and less red. Sorry I didn’t post a pic earlier of the flowers…I thought of it but thought it would be misleading since they arent exactly on point of what mine will be like.

I would vote for mink. I know you are a summer wedding but I think a dark neutral would set off the flowers very nicely.

I like daffodil. I think it will be a light pastel for summer and it will really make your flowers pop. Good Luck.

hitruax, you’re right it would make the colors pop. however, I think the girls would have my head on a platter (or never speak to me again) if I asked them to wear light yellow!
the brown is a possibility, but like you said katiebug, i worry about that being too dark for late summer when it’s 100 degrees in tx…plus i have no brown anywhere else in my wedding
What about Wisteria?

I think wisteria would be pretty…or even the periwinkle if you want to stay in the purple route.

Sage, wisteria, or daffodil

Based on that photo, I say daffodil is the best choice! It ties in so beautifully with the colors of the bouquet & doesn’t compete at all (like the eggplant dress would)

I like beige, mink, and daffodil.

Thanks for your input everyone….the bouquet I chose to post may be misleading. Please remember that my bouquet will NOT have as much yellow or red, but rather much more orange with some lime green in it.
So it will be that (1) rich purple color you see (think purple hydrangea and scabiosa) + (2) saturated orange (think circus roses) + (3) either green cymbidium orchids or green lotus flower. Here are some pics of those flowers:
So how does this change anyone’s answer?
