I'm not such a fan of the Burberry, though I tested some tonight when we were out and it wasn't bad.
I wore Noir on our wedding day!
Have you gone in and smelled Noir Tease? I just bought it. Im a big fan of the smell.
@zippylef: Not yet--I've been hiding from VS lately so I can save some money up. ;) Is it really similar to Noir, or totally different?
@Mrs Grape: Tell me about it. Im a manager there and the amount of VS stuff I own is absolutely ridiculous, I used to run the stockroom so Id see everything before it went out onto the floor. Noir Tease is different, much sweeter and less powdery/musky. Noir is probably my hands-down favorite perfume, but like I said, Im a big fan of Tease as well. It was $25 on Black Friday. I bought the last bottle our store had. For the record, I like Velvet too. Noir is just my fav, fo sho.
@zippylef: I bought Velvet to wear in my friend's wedding last Halloween and was hooked. I haven't worn my Noir in a while since the spritzer's a little messed up (I have to tip it so the hole is pointing down or nothing will come out), but it's still a great perfume. VS is pricey, but the perfumes are definitely worth it.
I'm wearing David Yurman on my wedding day. I'm a perfume addict and have MANY bottles. David (while expensive) is an amazing scent, and it lasts. It's subtle but noticeable. Like Mrs Grape said, I think it's most dependent upon what time of year you're getting married. If anyone wants suggestions let me know!
My fiance loves Nina by Nina Ricci on me. I use to wear Innocent Illusion by Thierry Mugler but I can't find it anywhere.
You know, I never even considered what perfume to wear for my wedding until just the other day when my grandmother asked me.
I think I'm going to wear the same thing I usually wear - Flower by Kenzo. I get compliments on it all the time.
Anyway, having never smelled any of those, I voted for #1 based on the description.
I'll ask Mama Grape, Aunt Grape, and Grandma Grape what they think when I buzz over there tomorrow, then decide from there. I'm reaaaaally leaning toward Noir since I haven't worn it in a while, but we'll see. :)
I would avoid using a new type of perfume on your wedding day. You've mentioned in other threads that you have sensitve skin, and you wouldn't want to have a reaction to it on the day of. Also, because perfumes interact with your natural scent, you should chose something you've worn before and liked the way it smelled.
@Miss Steinbeck: Hence why I'm going with something I already own. :) I've used Noir before, and I like how it works with my skin--I'm just a little concerned it might rub off halfway through the day.
@Mrs Grape: If you get the lotion and apply that first, it'll make the perfume stay longer.
@zippylef: (did you use the extra 10% off yesterday??? I work at B&BW, and everyone got and extra 10% off yesterday.. :) I got undies and a cute pair of bunny shorts.)
@Mrs Grape: Steal the Burberry all the way!! Burberry Brit is my all time favourite...men go crazy for it because it's so feminine so I bet your FI would love it on your wedding night ;)
@mrs.peters.to.be: I ALMOST got burberry brit for my hubby yesterday for Christmas, but I have already spent almost the max for him. :P
I love Burberry for women!! Thats the one that I voted for. :)
@zippylef: I have the lotion for Velvet, but not Noir and I'm not really looking forward to spending $20 and up on lotion. Good thought, though!
@mrs.peters.to.be: I've never worn the Burberry so I have no idea how it'd smell on me--it's not a bad scent, but that one's more of a last resort than anything.
I vote for #1. Mostly because I didn't know VS made this scent and I have been looking for something to replace B&BW's Blackberry Amber for years, but also because it's a warm winter scent.
@TealChocolate: It's a gorgeous scent--goes on a little strong if you're not careful, but the staying power is fantastic.
@helly: That was my favorite (and DH's b/c it was what I wore when we met) and I can't find it anymore either! *tear*
Sounds dumb, but my favoritre is Abercrombie and fitch 8. I always feel weird with all the tiny litty teenyboppers in there buying their tiny little pants... but it just smells so GOOD!
I also wear burberry britt (in the winter) it smells so amazing, I always have people come up to me and ask what it is.
alright im giving away my most precious secret!
Lolita Lempicka (the purple one)
I picked SPARKLE, mainly because you wear it all the time already. I just think it would be fun for after the wedding when you use it now....it will remind you of your wedding day :)

Another "fun" topic, right? :) I'm trying to pick out a perfume to wear for our wedding. Here's what I have (I'm not going to buy more this late in the game).
1) Victoria's Secret Velvet Amber Blackberry. It's a nicely balanced, warm scent that I usually wear in fall and winter. Doesn't stay on as long as I'd like, but I like that it's sweet without being overpowering. The main notes are amber, blackberry, and rose (very faint).
2) Victoria's Secret Noir. There are a ton of fruity notes in this perfume, but I'd describe it as a blend of pear, a little vanilla, and a little (light) musk.
3) Sparkle (Rue 21). This is my all-time favorite perfume, even though it's perhaps a little "young" for me. It reminds me of summer and is light and flirty...I wear it all the time, though, so maybe it's not the best choice for our wedding day.
4) Nollie. This has a really sweet, fruity scent. It's FH's favorite, but I'm not such a fan anymore. Copied and pasted from the site: "Nollie combines the scents of sweet fruit & light floral undertones with hints of pink rose petals & white jasmine."
5) Lucky You. I copied and pasted this description: "fresh citrus with light flowers and lower notes of sandalwood, amber and musk." I love it, but I don't think FH is so crazy about it because it can come off a little strong at first.
6) Shania Starlight. Yeah, don't judge me for having this scent--it's actually pretty nice. It's another fruity floral perfume; the most noticeable scent is freesia, but I think there's some magnolia and apple in there as well. It's a nice clean scent, a little heavier than I'm used to wearing, but I was really into this perfume for a long time.
7) Basic rose perfume. My great-aunt bought me this scent a few years ago, and I like it--it's very classic, but I'd have to be super-careful not to let it get too strong.
Right now, I'm leaning toward #1 or #2, based on the time of year. My aunt has a Burberry scent that I might steal, if the mood strikes me; I also gave her my Glow by JLo perfume about a year ago because I didn't love it. (That one's an option as well, though)
